I'm Desmond Desmond This is the new Toretto X direct drive bike trainer from Elite, so when Elite launched the original Doretta about two years ago, it makes a waste because it was a nice riding and pretty accurate direct drive by trainer that came in well under $1000 and since then they came up with follow-up version that fine-tuned the power actually from the original plus or minus two and a half percent to plus or minus two percent. and then they also included a riser block, but it didn't necessarily address the noise, which was okay at slower speeds, but definitely made a bit of a ruckus at higher speeds. But today Elite is launching the Dareto X which fine teams that power accuracy down even further to plus or minus one and a half percent. but they also made some changes on the inside as well as the outside that may seem subtle at first, but actually pay off in a number of ways

 Okay, so there you go. A complete look at the Duretto Xr trainer. You know, really replacing a lot of the Elite lineup you've got at the high end. the Drivo's been kicked to the curb

 But this year they're taking this thing to the Top Dog status. So the Doretto Xr is Elite's top trainer, so it pushes the Drivo series out to the retirement home or something. It's gone now and they've kicked out the specs with it. So this thing now sports 24 gradient resistance simulation

 But but in terms of overall accuracy, we're only talking a few less difference in most cases across this entire range. So pretty darn good. Okay, so there you go. A complete look at the Duretto Xr trainer

 so just keep that in mind, play around with it from your stability standpoint, responsiveness standpoint. I would say my sweet spot was like two to three rings from the top sort of thing was like it where it was like boom nailed. So speaking of accuracy, let's go to the computer and go through some of the actual power and cadence accuracy. Okay, so looking at the accuracy, I'm looking at two workouts in this particular video, but I've got all these workouts in the in-depth review linked down below here and many more as well

 And It's pretty easy to pair and not have to worry about getting a different sensor. Okay, with all that out of the way,, does the Direto X work? Is it as good as they claim? Is It worth spending 900 dollars and getting yourself one? Well, I've been using the Direto X for a few weeks now and I put it through my usual training and testing, and I used it with Zwift. I used it with Trainer Road, and I even used it with the Sufferfest, and it just works. The Direto X is probably the only trainer I got this year that just worked right out of the box

 Once You set everything up, pair it to the Elite upgraded app, and make sure you have the latest firmware.. After that, just pair it to the Elite My Training app and run the calibration.

 This is tight and groove section and I'm going to lay on top of it my Assioma Duo power meter data, and just look at that. Power Data this clean just does not happen very often. In Erg mode,. it performed very well, quick to respond to changes, and here is the test workout that I generally do to see how quick the trainer responds to changes
