What keyboard should i get?

 As someone who's new to the whole community, I find this keyboard super cute and nice to the touch! I got the brown switches and I love the sound of them, although I didn't expect they'd be linear.  The only downside I'd give is that I don't know how to navigate through their driver to customize the RGB function of the keyboard, so it'd be nice to have a more in-depth guide in English on how to use their software.  Overall? 5/5 for gaming and quality since it responds immediately, but 4/5 for brightness of the actual keyboard (yes, you can adjust the brightness but mine was still pretty dim). There are definitely cheaper options but the quality really sells it for me

Can someone help me find a keyboard? I'm moving from a laptop (ASUS N55SL, probably scissor switch/rubber dome), to a desktop, and so I need a new keyboard, and I would honestly like it to be a similarish experience. So I'm wondering where I can find a keyboard with these traits:

* Linux compatible.
* UK ISO layout.
* Tenkeyless (no further than 15" wide, but should be close to that, not like those tiny mac keyboards). I will be using it for programming, so the arrow keys and most of the other buttons need to stay.
* Low-profile keycaps with a low travel/actuation distance; I'm coming from a laptop after all, and not exactly looking for a total transformation of my experience, as I'm only getting a keyboard because I need it for the desktop; from by brief experience testing a normal mech keyboard I can tell I can't stand those deep/tall keys.
* Fairly quiet; I've not tried mech keyboards before, but I can guess that blue switches are too loud, and that brown or red would be okay.
* Cheap; about £60 or less.

Aside from that, there are a couple of "nice-to-haves" which I would greatly prefer the keyboard to have, but can do without if it's not feasible in my price range:

* Ideally wireless, but it's not a dealbreaker if it's not.
* Reprogrammable/rebindable keys (I will never use some keys, like Insert).

Should be noted that I don't care about backlighting/RGB, but wont reject it unless it's ugly *and* impossible to turn off.

Message: "Hello i'm Davide"

the keyboard writes it as: "Heeeeello i'm Davideee"

Could this be a problem with a switch? Delsodering it and soldering a new one might solve the issue?

I'm looking to get a 65% keyboard (I need the arrow keys) but I would also like it to be hot swappable so I could easily upgrade the switches in the future. However, the bottom row also needs to be a standard bottom row, which is very tricky to find with 65%. 

The only one I've found that matches this is the Drop ALT but I've heard really mixed things about that keyboard. The Ducky Miya Pro looks very appealing to me, but I'm pretty sure it's not hot swappable. 

Unless someone can convince me unsoldering and resoldering switches isn't an incredible pain. I do have experience soldering.

I pre-ordered a gmmk pro, and then bought the 1800 Red Samurai kit from Drop.  Do all the keys fit, besides the 1u's to the right of the space bar?  If the rest fit, I might just get some blanks for the needed key, so also wondering if anyone has any recommendations of where to get said blanks.   I just really want a nice red keycap set :(

Hello everyone, so last year I decided to switch the switches on my drop alt to some purple Zealio switches. After about a year certain switches were acting weird and would double click so I switched back to the Kaihua speed silvers, and now some of those are starting to act funny. For example I press H once but four H’s come up. I’m wondering if this is a problem in just the switches or if it’s something worse or how I could find out? Thanks.

Board is trash but looks great. NOT FOR GAMERS.

I chose SK64 for overall build quality. Looks sturdier than the Anne Pro 2 and the keycaps have a nice finish on them.

I'm trying to get into mechanical keyboards with the Ducky One 2 RGB, but have no idea what switches to get? Any recommendations? (Note: I don't want the blue switches because they're too loud and my family will kill me)

Hi, I'm new to the world of mechanical keyboards. 4 years back I bought the cheapest keyboard I could find from a company that I recognized, the Logi G413 Carbon. It's served me well to this day, but it's gotten quite battered from moving houses and the keys sound meh and feel mushy. The space bar is also beginning to feel mushy.

Im starting to think of a replacement. I'd like either a full size or ten keyless (that's the word right?) keyboard, maybe with some quieter switches so I don't bother those I live with, but get the nice keyboard feeling.

Does anyone have some affordable ($100-150 CAD) recommendations? Hopefully one that'll last me well.

It&#39;s served me well to this day, but it&#39;s gotten quite battered from moving houses and the keys sound meh and feel mushy. The space bar is also beginning to feel mushy.</p>

I’m looking for a keyboard to write with, and I’ve officially fallen down the rabbit hole of “this was supposed to take five minutes and now it’s been three days”. From what I’ve seen, I want to go with a TKL cherry mx brown setup so I can get the tactile feedback minus the loud clicks gaming keyboards seem to favor. I’m between a Filco, Das Keyboard, a Ducky Mecha, and a neat looking Varmilo. I would appreciate any help in figuring out which is best for my needs.

I would like to buy a 65% wireless keyboard. I'm hesitating between a Keychron K6 and an Anne pro 2.

I think the K6 is more appealing (bigger battery and hot swappable switches), but I'll eventually need to change the keycaps which are ABS. Is there reasons I should go for an Anne pro 2 instead ? Which keyboard is the best quality ?

Also is there any other keyboards I should consider ?

So the Keychron boards are known for being a bit hollow.

What’s the best way to sound dampen them? Just add foam in the back?

Additionally is there a way to add a lot more weight in there at the same time? Heavy rubber or weights or something?

I ordered a Ducky One 2 midnight TKL double shot PBT keyboard. I wanted a mechanical keyboard with the silent reds. I am 3 months into waiting for this keyboard from mechanicalkeyboards.com and my question is:

Is this product worth waiting for? 

Is there something comparable I could get at the 100$ price point?

Hi, i am beginner about building a custom keyboard i dont know how to build a keyboard with Arduino what i need and what i need to do with switches to let them work... and from where i can get software to arduino. I will really glad if someone can anwser on my question  deeply. Thanks! :)
