 We've been playing this particular drum all morning, I have personally, and there is not a mark on the head whatsoever. With it being single ply as well, it gives you a really rich, open tone. The resonance really sings out on the drum which you'll hear through three different tuning options later on where we've got a lower, medium and a high tuning. Evans UV1 Bass Drum Heads : Bearded Breakdown 1/17/18

 It's a really, really beautiful open sound. It's made on a 10mm one-ply head right now. I'm looking forward to expanding that in the future. Also new for 2018, we just released our UV bass drumheads, which comes in three different types

 Our biggest feature here for Evans is our Evans UV, which is a brand new coding technology we brought to the world in 2016. And so basically we now are using on some of our drumheads, our UV-1 drumheads, we're using a brand new coding technology that we actually screen print on top of the head. And then we cure with the UV light. What that happens is it becomes a much more durable drumhead, it keeps the head from chipping with a standard coding

The UV-EMAD has an extra layer of depth and warmth, with less attack compared to clear batter heads. With built-in adjustable damping, these heads give drummers maximum control, right out of the box.  We'll do them up in kind of a bebop tuning. We'll do them in a medium tuning that you could use for a bunch of different styles and then we'll drop them down so you can hear what they sound like really in the low range of the drums so you can get a good picture of kind of across the board with these things. I'll also do a little bit of brush playing on them so you can hear how this new coating sounds under brush playing. But I've been really impressed Brian, especially the durability

 The tom heads however sound really sweet. They are a fairly thin head. They're a 10mm head with this new coating on it so they're equivalent to like an Evans G1 just with this new technology on them. I'm going to play them for you today in a couple different tuning ranges

 These straight out of the box feel great and I would totally run that on my snare if they made that Power Center Reverse Dot. That's kind of the deal breaker for me with the snare head. The tom heads however sound really sweet. They are a fairly thin head
