 It just makes the cut for something like an HT 600. It probably won't work for super power, hungry low sensitivity, type of headphones. So I did find that the signal is very crisp and clear. There'S virtually no noise, like I don't even hear any ambient static type of not static but white noise, where the headphone plugged in sometimes you get some weird weird little noises from time to time

 The bass boosts, which feels nice and the gain switch, also feels nice. It feels substantial, I guess, like I said, all the inputs feel good, especially the headphone jack. I found that plugging in a headphone you get a satisfying click which I appreciated. It seems like everything, is a of a pretty high quality here and that's exceptional considering

 What about some of its features and against which which most people will appreciate, including myself? The gain switch is basically just for more power-hungry headphones you're, not getting as much raw power here as you would with something like a JD s. Labs he's really going to town you're, pretty good, just what I'd expect from the man with the same code as the boss, JD s, labs, objective to that amp outputs. I think 613 milliwatts at 33 ohms. So you could see the difference

 A wine out gain switch and a coax as well as USB front volume. Knob looks like a bass boost. Well, that's a tiny, tiny, amp deck. That sounds very, very good box, and this is nice

At first, I wasn’t sure about spending so much on headphones, but I figured why not go with something that I loved the look of (honestly I think they’re just gorgeous!) and get something that will last! And after using them for only an hour I already feel like it was so worth it! Thank you to this sub for indirectly encouraging me to get these lovelies; I really do adore them!

 I decided on the Meze 99 Classics because I was looking for something really “fun” with bass - and these kept popping up! I just listened to a few songs (it’s paired with a FiiO E10K), and I’m so so impressed by just how... clear? everything sounds! I feel like I can hear so many details in songs that I’ve listened to a million times

They weren't making that color combo when I bought mine a couple of years ago but I definitely would have bought the maple. My walnut and silver are still sexy and run them off of the Fiio BTR5 most of the time and it's a great combo as well.

New to the sub and thought I’d say hi! Hopefully I used the right flair.

 Also, I purposely purchased my lap-top because of the sound. I'm not sure what's in there, but the guy at Best Buy told me "this lap-top comes with some really nice sound man".  Maybe due to those 2 factors, the E10K did not really shine in my eyes/ears. To tell you the truth, despite the higher definition(of some instruments), I was just as satisfied listening to the laid-back, less aggressive sound of the T51's Sans E10K

 I have been for 30+ years or so...  In any case, after plugging the DAC/AMP combo into my 4 year old Dell Windows 10 lap-top computer and juggling with the instructions for a few minutes, I finally got some sound out of the unit

 Even the dreaded tambourines sounded pretty smooth. The sound stage remained about the same, or slightly expanded, but don't quote me on that.  Actually, almost everything sounded a little better(IMHO) with the bass-boost ON, which to my surprise was not muddy, or overwhelming.  Not to take anything from the E10K, I was listening through newly acquired pair of Beyerdynamic T51i's, which are some of the best 'pro-summer' over-the-ear head phones on the market

 Here, of course you have your off on volume. Knob, you have a bass boost off and on you also have your 3.5 millimeter headphone jack on the back. You'Ve got your usb type c input, so this is an audio input, but this is also your power supply from your phone or from your laptop or pc

 One thing that can happen sometimes is so i'll plug the usb in here and then the other side into my phone and then i'll have my headphones coming out here and then i will slide it down in to my back pocket and then i have the headphones Sticking out and i can reach the volume knob the problem is - is that the usb cable is there's a lot of pressure being put on it in the bottom of my pocket. So over time, i've noticed with some dac amplifiers and i have not noticed with this one yet, and hopefully it doesn't happen, but this the connection can start to get loose, uh so uh that can be kind of a pain um. I have had a couple of uh dax dacs before which, once the usb would start to get loose, it would stop my power amp. I would have to pull my phone out start it all over again and just not the the most convenient now and also that's actually happened with my pause one as well

Hey guys welcome to gazadio today, i'm going to be reviewing the fio e10k olympus 2.. Now this is a portable dac that comes in an 89. This is the second version of the e10k and they've made quite a few improvements

 Of course, i also compared it to uh to the the k3 here and um uh. So i i i can only compare it to what i have and i i do. I don't like comparing it to something i don't have on hand to do a b comparison with, but i can say as far as a lot of the the other smaller portable dax that i've owned under a hundred dollars. Generally, i would say that uh, this is probably the best one that i've ever heard under a hundred dollars, and i would say this one probably even competes with with some in the hundred and fifty dollar price range, with the improvements that they've made on this

I was mostly using the Sennheiser and i liked and still like how they sound, however i was curious about something different i wanted something more detailed and better.

As a conclusion, i don't have one yet, they sound good but weird, but that was also the case when i first got the Sennheisers, they sounded weird in the beginning but ended becoming my favorite headphones.

The very first impression was not that great TBH, i put them on and i was like yeah they sound ok, not bad but not good either, but this always happens when I get new headphones.

So i kept listening and after a while i switched back to the HD 599 to compare, it's then when it hit me, the sennhaisers sounded muffled that was quite a wtf moment, as they were perfectly clear before. 

I'm currently on the 599's now, I'm interested to see what you think tomorrow or the next day as well

These are in my opinion the best headphones you can buy under $500. I own them and love them to bits. But the E10K won't do. Get atleast a K5 Pro (if possible a Topping A90) and they will show its true performance.

 Using the amp with my phone also causes this horribly loud distortion/screech noise everytime I get a call or a text. I've found both of these issues can be mitigated by turning down the gain on the amp to half.

A very good amp for the casual audiophile. I'm using it with a Sennheiser HD280. Absolutely no hassles setting it up -- "it just works".  The package includes the amp, some stick-on rubber feet, and a 3' USB to micro USB cable

 Audio would cut out until the game was closed. The only other USB devices I have plugged in are my keyboard and mouse, and it only happens with the FiiO E10K. I tried every USB port and all three controllers on my motherboard to no success. I have the latest AMD chipset drivers, and other USB powered soundcards I tested with do not cause this issue

So im a casual gamer dad and love music. I came from hyper x clouds that i was tired of having issues with the mic on. After doing my share of research, I pulled the trigger on this setup with a few lessons learned along the way.

 However they did have noticeably high treble peaks although not harsh really, bass was lacking i felt like, and midrange was nowhere to be found. voices sounded far from the mic while singing or something.

when I got the 990s i was worried about them being power hungry but the schiit stack does great and they require just SLIGHTLY more volume which could be due to open back? Their sound is overall smoother, has more bass, treble blends well with the rest of the harmonics and I fell head over heels for these 990s before the oh so debated burn in time. Both headsets are the most comfortable headphones ive ever worn with stock pads by far and clamp force was easily adjusted with minor bending. The cable differences werent a big deal to me between curled and straight.

New guy show and tell with a poorly written review :)

I like the audio quality, but under Windows 10 I'm having two significant and weird problems.  The worst is that when I add another audio device, like a bluetooth headset, while using the Fiio sometimes all the devices on my USB hub will stop working (mouse/keyboard/etc. suddenly fail and stay failed). I unplug the Fiio and everything works again
