So last but not least, let's talk about comparisons. Is the Fuji Xt200 worth it? And how does it stack up to the competition?

So there you have it my friends. there is my three-month long-term ownership review of the Fujifilm Xt 200.

It was available a few days ago on BestBuy, but no longer. Also sold out BestBuy is the X100V, the X-E4, X-T30. I'm finding similar results on some other sites. I really wanted the x100V, but the X-T200 seemed good enough.

But Canon doesn't seem to be supporting that mount very much so the high end lens selection isn't there, nor are there are a lot of upgrade paths for the body. If you think you'll be falling down the rabbithole and getting a lot more gear or getting more serious then maybe the Fuji X system (look at the X-T200 or X-T30) or the Sony APS-C system (A6100 or A6400) would be a better fit.

Fujifilm X-T200 Kit (15-45mm f/3.5-5.6) at around 830€. I have also seen the M50 II, GX9, Z50 but I believe I have excluded them after reading through various reviews. I also prefer a larger sensor so I excluded FTs. I have included prices because in each country they are a bit different, and maybe you consider some of the them a better deal.

I would start with a RX100 (any of them really). If you want something a bit larger, look at a Canon M100, M200 or M50; Fujifilm X-T200; Sony a6000 or a6100; Olympus E-M10; Panasonic GX85 or GX9. All the major manufacturers make excellent cameras for beginners.

What attracted me to the Fujifilm X-T200 was the excellent high resolution LCD screen which most reviewers praised and said was the best LCD screen available on a mirrorless camera. I live in Florida so being able to see the screen during a bright day is important to me.

Where the Fuji systems shines, though is that it is typically smaller, lighter, and less expensive than Canon's offerings. You could get an X-T3 and XF 16-80mm f4 for just under $2000, representing a savings of around $500 compared to the R and 24-105 f4 L, or around $1500 compared to an equivalent R6 kit. Weight/size wise, that X-T3 combo is about a pound lighter than the Canon system.

Personally I'd also have a look at the Fujifilm X-T200, compared to the m50 it has:. better quality, uncropped 4k video (the m50 is pretty decent for 1080p but quite bad for 4k). a larger, much higher resolution back screen. better selection of native lenses - fujifilm has the best apsc mirrorless lenses, and adapting DSLR lenses makes the camera larger, defeating a lot of the point of mirrorless.
