- Great for music, not so much for sound quality
- Loud and powerful
- Good bass range
- Easy to use with Bluetooth connection
- A bit pricey
For one room use, Sony XB23, Wonderboom 2, and JBL Flip 5 are good products. Motion Boom is a good value for outdoor use or in a large indoor room. UE Boom 3 is good product too but a little more expensive.
JBL Flip 5 Review
For its size and price, the JBL Flip 5 delivers some powerful audio in a waterproof design.
Which JBL Bluetooth Speaker Should You Buy?
Who it’s for: Someone looking for a fine-sounding portable speaker, even if it’s not all that portable.
What’s to like: The JBL Xtreme 3 is one hefty hunk of speaker, a tiny bit bigger and a little lighter than its predecessor, the Xtreme 2. In any case, you might be surprised at how large it is wh...
Do NOT let the negative reviews scare you away.
After reading a handful of reviews that were based on people upset about emotional aspects of the speaker... ie it won't connect to their flip 4 speakers. Whatever. I looked past that and am glad I went with the 5. The sound quality is superb. The bass response is indeed superior to the 4 as well as...
I have jbl flip 5 and my friend too. I tested this mode. Its really ok.
Just buy it! You won't regret it!

Changing the song forward is really easy, just push the play button twice (double tap). The only thing you can't do is change it back...
I have really liked UE Wonderboom 2: small but nice sound. I think the group of UE Boom 3, JBL Flip 5, Sony XB 23 provide nice sound and good volume for indoor listening. Really easy to drop into a backpack.
For outdoor listening JBL Charge, Mega Boom 3, and Sony XB 33 are bigger but still portable...
The JBL Flip5 is a very good speaker. This item was given to me as a gift, so I decided to give it a try. Now When I looked at this speaker, I thought to myself this little speaker is not going to be putting out any good sound. I was so wrong. It put out very good sound quality. You can even hear so...
Don’t waste your money buying two if you expected setting up L & R stereo output.
If you just need a good sounding portable speaker with heavy bass range and no wires then this might be a good option, but far better sounding units out there at less price if you don’t care about not having a JBL tag. However, they advertise if you buy two, you can configure one for left and the ot...
