JBL Live 500BT

I got a JBL 500BT headphone and a JBL Charge 4 and wanted to use any of these on my Mi TV Stick, from Xiaomi. But everytime I tried connecting throught bluetooth, it tries to pair and freezes the Stick. After a moment it goes back to the bluetooth available list and said it failed.

Unfortunately, this model doesn’t have active noise cancelling (ANC), which means they won’t be ideal for commuting. For similar noise cancelling headphones, look at the higher-end JBL Live 650BTNC. On the upside, the Live 500BT have a good companion app that gives you access to a full parametric EQ, which allows you to customize their sound to your liking

After COVID, I bought JBL LIVE 500BT, and quietly enjoy the upgrade from the comfort of my home, mostly in kitchen while preparing food. There's no particular favorite album, as I prefer listening randomly from my playlists, grouped in order I've found.

Hi everyone. I've recently bought some second hand JBL Tune 500BT and I've noticed that the signal strength of the Bluetooth is very weak. The sound is already stuttering when I put my phone in my pants' pocket. The signal is poor also when pairing with my laptop (it looses connection from ~1m already).

My JBL 500BT will not charge fully – they work, they even charge when I connect them to my computer or to the power socket, but the red LED will not turn off and afterwards, when I use them, battery is out after 1-2 hours. I tried to change the cable but the effect is the same – headphones being dead after max 3 hours.

**Tonal balance:** Balanced. **Past headphones:** Had JBL Live 500bt - Not comfy on ear, also struggled to provide decent quality and positional audio on Xbox. **Music:** Reasonable normal music taste. **Improve for these headphones:** Just want good looking, over ear Bluetooth headphones, which can provide surround sound and a mic when plugged into Xbox one.
