Now like I've mentioned in the past, the thing about both the Boombox and Boombox 2 is that once you start increasing their volume past 80% really only the mids and highs get increased but the bass stays the same. So at higher volumes both Boombox's do start to sound nasally

 And if you want to get more out of this speaker you can always use it while its plugged in. The real world battery life on this speaker is decent but keep in mind it really depends on how you use this speaker. Having bass boost level 2 and the light feature on this speaker turned on is going to take its toll on the battery life.

 It sounds balanced, it gets decently loud, and it has an ample amount of bass for its size. But looking forward to the Partybox 110 I do expect the 110 to get a little louder, have a little bit more bass, and sound a little more open than the Partybox 100 cause these are the sound quality improvements that we saw when we compared the Partybox 300 to the Partybox 310. But now lets talk about pairing this speaker up with other speakers. Now you can wirelessly sync up one Partybox 100 to one other Partybox 100 and get them playing in left and right stereo

I’ve tested soooo many speakers over the years, always switching between models when i found smth better. I currently own 3 speakers for different occasions. All of them are my favorites in their specific class. 

Small : Anker SoundCore Motion+ -> 80-100€

Medium : Marshall Tufton -> 400-500€

Big : Soundboks 3 -> 800-900€

The 300€ price range is a very competitive space. JBL dominates this pricerange with 3-4 models. I would probably go with the JBL PartyBox 100, it’s by far the best speaker for the money if have tested thus far. It even beat my more expensive tufton at high volumes. They seem to make multiple version of this and I was disappointed to find out this this one doesn't support their JBL app. Other than that, they sound great.

Hey, I'm looking to buy a new speaker for parties. My budget is around £300/ $425 but I'm willing to go to £350 / $500.
I'm replacing the Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 as it was not loud enough and the battery didn't last. I've been looking at the JBL boombox 1 and 2 but I'm not sure which to go for.
I'm not to bothered by the sound quality as long as it is very loud has good battery life at full volume and is fairly portable.
Should I go for the JBL boombox 1 or 2? If not what else?

I'm more informed and used to buying amps and speakers, I'm not as informed in the Bluetooth side of things as I am in wired equipment. I just want something to play outside at good volume, I already have a HiFi integrated amp and good quality speakers for my setup inside my room, so I'm not trying to break the bank lol. My budget is around $300 CAD, give or take a few dollars.

p.s. I was looking at the JBL Boombox 2 because it's on sale right now.

Tbh i thought the Aiwa exos 9 was the one for me a while so I decided to search it in reddit and thats how I found this post. Im based in Ireland/Europe and could be bringing the speaker with me to festivals in europe when they start back up. Im going to research the ones you suggested now.

All of these are battery power speakers. Plugging one into the wall is no problem for me. I just want to find the loudest speaker for like under 600$. I don’t know much about speakers, would trying to find one without a battery be better if i don’t need it.   The speaker really shines playing more modern electronic music, hip hop, edm. Its hard to explain but where other smaller speakers i've heard produce a flatter sound without much punch, the sounds that come out of the partybox have a TON of punch and clarity and you really can feel the whole spectrum of frequencies. The low end with the first bass boost mode is awesome, and you can hear bass frequencies in songs I've played a thousand times that I've never heard before. It seems to be tuned in a way where the low-mids are not very present but at low volumes I just used an eq app on my phone to roll back the highs a bit to compensate

 The sound also has a huge spread and can be heard from far away. For $300 I feel really good about this purchase and will likely get another one in order to stereo pair.

Hi, I've been looking around a bit online, saw the Sony SRS-XB12 can go down to 20Hz, but it seems to lack a bit of clarity. The soundcore motion+ seems great, but unfortunately only goes down to 55Hz :(

I know it's hard to get down to 20Hz without trade-offs, but essentially my criteria are:

* 20-20,000Hz frequency response
* Not completely unwieldy, but doesn't have to be particularly small
* Really good high end and audio clarity, doesn't have to go massively loud
* The sub bass just has to be present, not boosted or overpowering, just enough to hear the full spectrum of the song
* Probably looking for a max budget of $300

 Still, it's a good speaker and I would recommend it for applications such as mine. Just temper your expectations.

 I think this speaker would be better priced at $200. I don't think it's worth more than that. So, that's why I remove a star.

 You're not going to get a ton of clarity and fidelity, but what you do get is a lot of energy, which is fine because I need the music to get me pumped up for my workout. Just know, you're not going to get a refined sound here. My other gripe is the price. I'm not a person who cares about spending money for quality

Good but not great

 It actually tries to integrate into the music. There's a bass boost, which really, really gets this thing bumping. And there's also a voice cancel with when you've got a microphone plugged in, karaoke becomes a little bit easier. It's not perfect, but it's pretty darn good

I mean, you've got your kind of JBL Charge style thing down the front here, then this is the BoomBox, and that was the kind of biggest of the bunch for a while, but then we entered what they call the PartyBox. JBL Partybox 100/310 - loud, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo. Motion Boom - loud for it's size, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo, app with EQ(very important for this speaker).

Hello, these you mentioned are PA speakers. PA Speakers are designed and adjusted to prioritize loudness over bass and play with sub. So most of PA speakers even with large woofer don't go under 50Hz.  
This is reason why for example JBL Partybox 100 play deeper. Also sound color is a bit close to standard Hi-fi.  
  
I have to mention that for 250$ there isn't perfect BT speaker.  
The best value for money speakers are currently:  
 JBL Partybox 100/310 - loud, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo.  
Motion Boom - loud for it's size, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo, app with EQ(very important for this speaker).  
Motion+ - great sound quality for it's price but no deep bass, app with EQ (very important for this speaker).  
  
One of the best  sound quality speaker with strong bass for affordable price is probably Aiwa Exos-9 currently about 360$ (This speaker beats also Naim Mu-so 2 for 1600$).  
Great sound quality and compactness but more expensive is Minirig 3 system, e.g. 2+sub but it's completely out of mentioned budget.

<div class="md"><p>Hello, these you mentioned are PA speakers. PA Speakers are designed and adjusted to prioritize loudness over bass and play with sub. So most of PA speakers even with large woofer don&#39;t go under 50Hz.</p>

<p>This is reason why for example JBL Partybox 100 play deeper. Also sound color is a bit close to standard Hi-fi.</p>

<p>I have to mention that for 250$ there isn&#39;t perfect BT speaker.</p>

<p>JBL Partybox 100/310 - loud, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo.</p>

<p>Motion Boom - loud for it&#39;s size, deep bass, outstanding sound quality, can be paired for stereo, app with EQ(very important for this speaker).</p>

<p>Motion+ - great sound quality for it&#39;s price but no deep bass, app with EQ (very important for this speaker).</p>

Gemini is known for making hot garbage. Save up for a JBL partybox if you want a big portable party speaker. A pair of $100 soundcore Boom speakers will sound better than the cheapo disco speakers from Gemini/Pyle.
