 Way too short. This company has been making vacuums longer than I've been alive, why is the cord so short?  Second why did we get rid of headlights on vacuums, again I've been vacuuming for 40 years why do I got to turn a light on in every room that I go in every walk in closet that I go in to make sure there's nothing on the floor what can I just vacuum and go?  Third why did we get rid of the mechanism to drop the vacuum from upright? This vacuum has a manual push to kick it out from upright. Feels very cheap to get rid of a little latch to kick it out of upright.  So they got rid of headlights got rid of length on the cord got rid of a little latch, just to save $1 in parts on every vacuum so they could save $100,000 for the CEO to put in his pocket? Make sure you are doing your research on vacuums you can't just trust a brand anymore apparently

Good reviews, but...

Purchased 11-2021 for $211. Nice looking, suction is great - best I have seen (but it is new), noisy, takes a lot of force to push, a bit heavy, low (have to bend) power button that is not on the handle. A lot of plastic, but seems like high quality plastic and some metal under face parts. Surprised how much muscle it takes to push - doesn't seem to have a pile height adjustment (so that may be why?)

That said, I've recently tried out an expensive vacuum (almost 5X this price) and it had the same negative issues. Being a Kenmore, I'm hoping this will last longer than my last one, which was named after an oceanic predator (they'll kick out this review if I name a competitor), but at this time I can't comment on its longevity, having had it only a very short time.

 It almost feels like the vacuum cleaner will break.  Not sure if I can recommend this although consumers reports have it a good rating.

 The biggest complaint I have is that although it does well on short thin carpet and hard floors, it is very hard to push on short plush carpet. There is no way to adjust the height settings. I am a 240# fairly strong man and I’m breaking out in a sweat after vacuuming 3 medium rooms. Definitely not for the short pile plush carpet

Decent Vacuum

 Now, I HATE IT!!!! However, in all fairness to this product, the suction power is excellent. The only reason I did not return it was because I desperately needed a vacuum the day it arrived.

The suction power is excellent but the weight is ridiculous. Vacuuming is now a chore I hate!!!!

This Kenmore is a dream for vacuuming. The suction is terrific; it is sufficiently manoeuvrable, and the hose for reaching baseboards and crevices is long enough. However, it is bagless and difficult to fully empty. And it was too heavy for the intended user; so it was returned
