 This Kenmore has a shorter cord so I have to relocate plugs constantly in large areas.  *If this is the price range you are looking in and want a PET vacuum, I would recommendBissell Pet Hair Eraser Upright Bagless Pet Vacuum Cleaner Machine with Tangle Free Brush Roll, 1650A I've used that vacuum extensively, I gave it to a family member with two huge dogs (rottie/retriever crosses) and used this at his house weekly when I'd go help him clean. If you have different floor types it's still going to be a pain to switch over constantly (you have to bend over with any of these lower-priced vacuums) but i used the Bissell for years and it performed better than this particular Kenmore model. It's been in use for years at that house and still going strong

I have a multi-pet household; birds, cat, dogs. Seeds, feathers, hair, pellets you name it, a vacuum has to work hard to keep up around here. I have a Dyson and that's all I've purchased for the last ten years because that's the only brand I've had that can hang on and not keep costing me money to run. This house is hell on a vacuum, we use it 2-3x a day

 The reach on the want is only a few feet. a $60 Eureka I tested had better wand function than this one, believe it or not.  *It's easy to empty, that's a real plus. It's actually easier to clean out than my $$$ Dyson

Decent basic vac but falls short of what I expect for a pet vac......

 I just felt that my Dyson hard floor roller did a better job at grabbing items off the floor. When this was on carpet it just seemed that it was struggling to get through the job. I guess part of that is the fact that it is not have self propelled. Overall I was underwhelmed by this machine

The assembly is easy, and it unpacks well, but it doesn't perform as well with it's bulky, heavy style

The vacuum is nice for carpets, however it doesn't work as described on hardwood floors and the pet turbo tool is a joke! It takes a LONG time to pick up pet hair off furniture.

The handle and wand is poorly designed. It broked already and now the part is on back order.. im sure im not the only one who has had this issue

Good but handle keeps breaking

 I love the roller brush attachment. Our cats especially like to sleep underneath one of my children's bed. This roller brush makes it easy to get the cat hair under there vacuumed up.  Overall, this vacuum has done well for me so far

 The vacuum is easy to manuver and it's easy to swap from floor to tools, and to release the hose.  It comes with 3 attachments. I love the roller brush attachment. Our cats especially like to sleep underneath one of my children's bed

I've been pleased with it so far....

 You can get a Eureka pet vac for about half the price that works as well and has more features. The Bissells are better and feature packed, and are also cheaper in most cases. The only thing on this that makes it qualify as pet friendly is the “Pet Handi-Mate attachment, and with the short hose even that is a pain to use. There are much better options for pet hair pick up out there

Over priced for the featuires and power you get

 I took off a star for a few design features.  - While very powerful, it's not quite as powerful as our last bagless.  - It's a little heavier than we'd prefer.

Like many others, I was disappointed by this vacuums performance. It was clunky and hard to move. It clogged up easily and needed to be taken apart. Pet friendly it may be but it is not people friendly
