Keychron K10

k4v2: 4.5 degree without; 9.5. k10: 3.1 degree without, 9.7. why? because Keychron has decided all their K-models should have the same height at the top and same height at the bottom, and since a fullsize keyboard is the tallest(top view), it has the smallest typing angle. now if you think oh I have experience with smol typing angles, like the logitech craft or apple keyboards, I should have no problem with this... then you'd be wrong.

OK so my K10 is here and I love it. I see nobody is really posting about full size boards here. It's the plasic chassis with non-swappable switches (red). It still feels super satisfying to type on (I don't game).

I would suggest getting a K1/K10 ([or K4, check out that layout! for a first mechanical. I would also highly suggest getting the hot-swappable version of whichever you choose, for the added flexibility of being able to change switches if you need to.

So, I’m looking for the first mechanical keyboard which I’ll use with my Mac primarily (as a part of the desktop setup with the Apple Magic Trackpad in a Space Gray color). Having reviewed various options, Keychron K1 and K10 are my favorites (K8 as well, but I assume it’s the same keyboard as K10 except for the numbered keys).

All in all though, on the keychron k10, i think its great. Is my goto keyboard in the past week. I love that it has MacOS and Windows settings and keycaps. Also love that its bluetooth, or it can be wired.

There's no end to this topic, if you just wanna grab some mech keebs and use it for a long time just buy a prebuilt one. Keychron K10 is the full size one and also get the hot-swappable version as you can just pull out the switches without having to desolder the switch.
