Budget E-reader

\- I understand that you're on a budget, but if you have the means, I would recommend against the base models (Amazon Kindle and Kobo Nia). You lose out on warm lighting on the Kobo (like night shift on iOS or night light on Windows) and the screen resolution is significantly(?) worse on both devices (167 ppi Kindle, 212 ppi Nia vs. 300) for a difference of about $30 when you're already spending at least $90 on a device.

It was decent device for reading holiday and improving my reading comprehension in English. Sometimes, I considered to buy new model but It met the expectation, so I didn't need new one. Yesterday, I lost my Kobo Glo Hd and now I'm looking new model, I'm thiking to buy Kobo or Kindle. Kobo Nia seems fine i guess.

Looking for a cheap ereader

I would recommend a Kobo reader, as you can use public libraries with it and sharing epub files with friends is easy. The Kobo Nia is the cheaper one, but the Kobo Clara 2E offers a display with higher resolution, USB-C, overall better hardware and possibly longer software support. E-readers age well (or did so far) and you might use it for ten years.
