This heel has two different rubbers, this rubber has a B density, this here in the inner side of the shoes we put a layer of rubber which is very very stiff and that you cannot comprime, when you heel hook in the external side this heel cannot turn, it becomes really really stable and you can give so much power in the heel hooking, some power that you could not give with the previous solution of heels in the shoes. In the woman version we use the layers of rubber a bit thinner so the shoe is a bit softer and you can deform it with less weight. You can find these shoes starting from next April 2016 which is done for good climbers but for everybody who want to enjoy climbing

This shoe is great for someone with a very wide foot. If you have a narrow foot, sizing down to make for a tighter fit may present some unwanted pressure on the big toe.

 It's designed to hold the heel at a slight tilt which creates a more powerful foot position and it's also designed to hold the shape of the heel together. So it doesn't change shape over time. It is a technical shoe so it's really well suited to overhanging rock and bouldering and that sort of thing but it's definitely not a one trick pony. It is a pretty good all rounder so some of the more aggressive shoes are only good on overhanging rock or only good for bouldering

 All climbing shoes have one key disadvantage and that's if it doesn't suit your foot shape. With the Ataki it follows the same toe profile as the Katana so what we do find when fitting customers if they're coming from a Katana they'll often find that this is a really good fit for them. P3 stands for permanent power platform. The P3 system is just La Sportiva's way of making a shoe stay downturned through the life of the shoe

11. I already had a more relaxed set of La Sportiva Nago shoes that were comfy and good all-around but not aggressive enough. I struggle with the balance between “required tight fit” vs “excruciating pain” and often have trouble with the right climbing shoes as I have long toes, a broad ball of foot and some bunion-like shape but these really are tight yet bearable on the wall. Great design, grippy, sharp and quick on and off thanks to velcro straps
