Lenovo Chromebook Duet

I recently purchased the Lenovo Duet 5 (8GB/128GB version) from Best Buy. I previously had the original Duet, but I haven't been using it because I found it too low powered even for my basic tasks. The Duet 5 seemed like a good upgrade for the price.

Recently I brought a Lenovo Duet Chromebook to accompany my Windows 10 device. Hands down, having a Chromebook is absoulutley great. Not having to run a VM on my Windows PC to play my favoriute games is just emaculate!

So I am a med student was looking for an affordable device to take note on (Other than iPads and OneUI from Samsung). I thought about the Surface but it is way too much in price and not available in my country which will cost me more and more to order it from Amazon, then I found the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. Arrived 4 days ago from outside the country, but now I regret buying it, the Palm Rejection is not working most of the time, also, most linux apps are not compatible, there is some lags here and their. My biggest concern now is to fix the Palm Rejection, I need to take notes smoothly just like my colleagues (using iPads and Samsung Tabs).

Also, Lenovo has said that it will get updates for 8 years - although you will probably have moved on to some new bright shiny object before that. And $230 is a great price for that model. One other thing that blows me away with ChromeOS on the Duet is Chrome's handwriting recognition in tablet mode. Even just using a cheap capacitive stylus (or even your finger), you can use handwriting for text entry and even pretty skanky handwriting like mine gets interpreted just fine.
