 there is a little bit more resistance to the keys than I'm used to, so they need a bit of a firm press, but they have good travel, good feedback, and I also do appreciate we get a fingerprint sensor in the power button between the two. The keyboard on the 17 is about two centimeters wider, though. It felt pretty much the same to type on except for one thing on the Gram 16 and pretty much any of the laptop Your wrists rest on or around the front edge, but the keyboard on the 17 is just so far away from the front of the laptop. I found the edge dug into the softer part of my arm a little bit below the wrist, and so it actually wasn't as comfortable to use as the 16

 um, but that's because unlike these, I've got the Dell Xps 15 and the Macbook Pro 16 here with me. These are using low power what were you series processors and also we don't get any discrete graphics. You are of course going to get much better performance from something like this, although of course you are compromising on it being thicker and heavier. But really, unless you're regularly using demanding apps, the power on offer here with Intel's 11th Gen chips will be more than enough for editing in lightroom, watching Netflix while you're procrastinating on my essay, or even putting together a friend's lockdown birthday video montage in Premiere Pro

 This lasted me 14 and a half hours in my Youtube battery test, which is almost twice what I've seen in other machines. and I think combined with this incredible portability, this is one of the most interesting laptops of the year so far. But there is a small catch, and that's the price. These are not cheap at 1500 pounds or 1700 depending on the spec, it's expensive, and it's got a lot of very good competition not least its own bigger brother, the Gram 17, and actually they share the identical specs exactly the same

 That said, I have seen the 16 listed for as low as 1250 pounds already with a lower spec and this actually looks like even better value as you're still getting all the main gram benefits. But what do you reckon? would you go for the 14? Which I don't have, the 16 or the 17 or none of the above? let me know in the comments below. And also if you've got any questions about these at all, that's insane. I've got two laptops, a 16 and a 17

2021 LG Gram 16 Review - World's Lightest 16-inch Laptop!

 That’s what I’m most excited about with this new machine lol. But actually, my 2021 is a beast and is by far the most powerful laptop I’ve ever owned. Painting in my digital art apps is so fluid. No lag at all

My 2013, 13' MacBook Pro was a beast in its heydey, and it still works pretty well even today, but it needed to be retired. It has been a little laggy and even such non-intensive activities as browsing FaceBook can cause it to get loud and hot. Pages and Microsoft Word have suffered from lag too, which is unacceptable given that I have a doctoral dissertation to write this year. 8 years is a good run for a computer, but there was no sense in sticking with the old hardware anymore at this point. 

For those who upgraded to the 2021 MBP recently, what do you think were some of the coolest new features of the computer when compared to the older hardware? What do you think I have to look forward to the most?

The Gram 16 convertible suffers from many of the same drawbacks as the Gram 13, Gram 14, Gram 15, and Gram 17 including a weaker and more flexible chassis than the HP Spectre x360 15, more difficult serviceability, and below-average processor performance. Keys on Keyboard Already Failing

 These are important things for any laptop to get right, let alone one that has a bunch of extra real estate that should be used to avoid flaws like these.

If you’re shopping around for 17-inch laptops, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything lighter than the Gram. It’s 2.98 pounds, which is just a little heavier than the 13-inch MacBook Air. The Dell XPS 17 is one of LG’s main competitors in this space, yet its baseline model weighs over a pound and a half more

 Its keyboard is a joy to type on with a surprising amount of tactility and travel in the keys, and the battery life outlasts a whole day of work, even much of a second one, too. It’s a quiet laptop, and even under pressure, its fans weren’t loud enough for me to hear once.

 Oddly enough, the only competition it faces at the moment comes from within LG. The 16-inch Gram is lighter and less expensive, yet it features the same design, screen size, port selection, battery capacity, and specs (aside from having significantly less storage) for $1,399. You can find one that has the same 1TB storage as the Gram 17 for $1,599. If the Gram 17’s $1,799 price is too expensive, at least you have an alternative that’ll likely deliver the same great results

The 2,560x1,600-resolution display gives you a bit more vertical space to work than a widescreen display. It's a perfect middle-ground for mobility and screen size. It's a high-quality screen, too, with excellent color and contrast performance, even if it's not the brightest

 There is noticeable flex in the keyboard deck and lid (you definitely want to avoid picking this up one-handed by the display). Still, as with other Grams, it is strong enough to pass seven military-grade durability tests including ones for shock and vibration, so it's built for a commute or travel.
