My sixth-grader wanted a basic black backpack that would hold all her books/essentials since they don’t have lockers. She chose this backpack and was excited when it arrived. She immediately filled it with everything she needed for school only to realize she couldn’t zip it closed because the zipper had been sewn to the backpack and could not be moved.

My daughter is in 8th grade and needed a backpack that would hold binders, a chromebook, her lunch bag, water bottle, etc. This backpack fits the bill. It has several compartments that can hold all of these items and more. The back and shoulder straps have nice padding, making this backpack more comfortable to carry and she likes the sternum strap as well
