I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

 Seems my feet have grown in my old age and i have gone from 13 to 14 in most shoes and generally most hiking boots are too short in a 14 and i have to now buy size 15. Thankfully Lowa offers larger sizes. UPDATE- 10 Months later Doing day hikes, not rock scrambling, not trekking through snow, not leavings in front of fire to dry.

 Sole is not as stiff as my last pair of hiking boots so i do feel some of the rougher rock edges when i skip from rock to rock up a trail. Not a real problem though. When i know i am doing elevation and heading down hill i can definitely adjust the boots and tighten the bottom 4 eyelets to ensure my foot doesnt move at all and hit the toe box. Otherwise i keep it a little looser for comfort

I sometimes tweek my ankle walking down a city street in business shoes when i hit uneven pavement/sidewalk

 I also think the uppers on the newer ones are more susceptible to stitching tears.  I like them because they fit me well, and seem to have a nice balance between rugged-ness and lightness. Another reason is that I am a bit clumsy and they protect my feet when I slam into a stone or root. However, I do seem to be between a narrow and a mid, which causes problems for my baby toes on a long tramp; I may just switch to a mid for pair #3 and see how that goes

  For my third pair I ordered .5 size larger than I have in the past (I read something about this on a site that specializes in hiking footwear). This has solved all of my problems with blisters/pinching on smaller toes. Leaving behind the snug fit I was accustomed to took a bit of getting used to but has turned out to be a very good move

Do not buy these online.  Try them out first.  They are not the same quality as my old style was.

 A little roomy with an average sock but just perfect with a thicker hiking sock. The craftsmanship is outstanding, the materials are outstanding. I'm very happy that there was large selection of colors for this model. Amazon delivery was on time

 I wish I had known that the insoles on this boot were poorly made and fit. Otherwise I would have rated 5 star.

 The downside to this is the insoles. I wore them around the house for a couple of hours and I began to feel the edges of the insoles. They are not a good fit nor are they well made. It seems Lowa expects users to toss the insoles and replace them with aftermarket insoles

The Lowa Renegade GTX are a very popular boot and after receiving my new pair yesterday it was plain to see why. The first thing was to try the fit..and it was just right
