I would look into boots designed for mountain hiking as they often have reinforced rubber toes. Brands like Mammut and Scarpa do a really good job with this.

So I need a good pair of hiking boots. But the issue is that I live in a place with a rocky terrain, and while walking  you are going to hit rocks with your toebox a lot...after a year they look like this ([photo1](https://i.imgur.com/125dGe8.jpg), [photo2](https://i.imgur.com/F24mMbc.jpg))  


I usually buy boots on a cheaper side (50-100$) because I experience this with every boots I have worn. And I change them after a year or so.  
Is it worth it to invest in more expensive shoes? And if so, got any suggestion for me?

Need some advice about hiking boots

Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to wear them as i ordered UK size 11 and was sent UK size 12.5 so had to return them. They do however look very well made and look like they would be quite comfortable, based on this and as i couldn't wear and 'road' test them i can only give them three stars.

 Swiss design, German leather, made in Vietnam. I have always had boots with a Vibram sole, so pleased these came with that sole. The boots look well constructed, clean well (as I have already put in quite a few miles) and are much lighter than my previous pair. Once I knew which boots I wanted, having completed much online research, it was a matter of finding the best price

 I paid £100 for my boots when Mammut advertise the boots at £160 on their website. If I was to pay £160 for these boots I would expect a lot higher spec. These boots, I believe, are good value at £95 to £115. For hiking these are great and will hopefully last me a good few years

 First thing I noticed was the wide entrance for the foot into the boot. This was great for me with my high instep. The boots fitted perfectly, initially with a thin sock and then once they started to give with a thicker walking sock. They were comfortable from day one

S., so I tried other brands sold locally which either broke down in 6 months or de-laminated in 18 months (ASOLO) but were never comfortable anyway.  I found that Raichle now markets their boots as Mammut, but are only available online for me so I gave them a try and they feel nearly as comfortable as my most expensive Italian dinner shoes. I have 3 pairs of this model for my daily walks or light hikes and a two sets (purchased on Amazon) of a heavier duty model for longer rougher ground (rocky)

 Mammut wrote me to order UK size 10 (44 2/3) which really made sense, but on the last minute I changed my order to 10.5 (45 1/3) figuring it's better to have them a bit large. I can say UK 10.5 fit perfectly

Super comfortable, robust, good looking - fitting is challanging

 I gave them a good going over and they came back dry inside. They are a quality boot. I wear a size 10 and they fit perfectly. I will update this if there is any issues

This product is Superb', I would recommend that buyers choose a half/size larger than normal, as they are really Snug-Fit!... (I exchanged for a half-size Larger)
