Grill works as advertised - the app does not.

 There's the fan. And then you'll notice here in just a moment we'll get some smoke start to roll out from the cooking chamber. And this is going to push all the heat into the grill till we reach 250 degrees. What'll happen is that as a variable speed fan and we will get the variation of fan speeds to maintain that 250

 It's just about time and temperature. 250 for 60, 400 for 30. Then you can shut it down and let it cool off. Now the next time you fire up your grill you're gonna need to season it

 So we're gonna hit the thermometer button. We're gonna turn this up to 250. Hit the temperature button. Now you'll notice that the fans did not kick on yet

 It is time to get the grill actually turned on. So we need to open up the air vents. There are these two paddles. Pull these out completely

So what's the deal with the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 800? That's the question that I am here to answer today. In this overview you will get a feel for every aspect of the Masterbuilt Gravity 800!

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 treat me well for the past two years... It was such a cool concept that I even got the Char-Griller Gravity 980. Fast forward 2 years and here I am with the Masterbuilt Gravity Smoker 800. Now they also have the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 105, but I personally wanted the Masterbuilt Gravity 800 griddle.... Buying a Masterbuilt Gravity Series? Watch This FIRST!

I was looking at buying a drum barrel smoker when I came across this. I was excited about the ease of use with the temperature controller provided. It was also cheaper and I like the idea and ease of being able to fire it up quickly if I wanted to just make burgers one weekend. The reviews I read were generally quite positive and the only negatives seemed to be the app and those who received damage units

A little disappointed

.their build quality has always been less than stellar. Yet, this product checked a lot of boxes for me so I decided to give them a shot. (Usually would've been a hard pass but a Wifi/BT temp controlled gravity-fed charcoal cooker was very intriguing
