It will lose connection and sit at blinking green down arrow (searching for stream) for hours. I replaced my 6-year-strong Arris sb6190 with a Motorola mb7621, no change. The Suddenlink tech came when the internet was functional, measured the channel signal strength, got a range from 6-9dbmv, and said: "Your 200mb plan is too slow for this 24 channel modem, either upgrade your plan or downgrade your modem." I reminded him that my previous modem had 32 channels and no issues for years.

But it only comes with a one-year warranty, which makes it our second choice for 24x8 modems.

I've been on the Extreme Pro internet tier using the Motorola MB7621 cable modem for the past couple years without any issues, our upload speeds were regularly at about 17Mbps (northeast region). After the speed upgrade to 800Mbps, I started hitting upload speed issues.

Taking a closer look at your Motorola 24x8 Cable Modem, Model MB7621 specs, it looks like this device is a Docsis 3.0 and we always recommend a Docsis 3.1 to support our Gigabit speed tiers all around. This MB7621 is great for a bandwidth of up to 650 Mbps and does have a Gigabit ethernet port however, if you're trying to receive the full speeds especially through Wi-Fi, we defintiley recommend updating your equipment to a Docsis 3.1 model at minimum.
