I like the quality of the HyperX Alloy Origins Core and I love the look of it, especially with the custom keycaps but I also really like the modules on the Everest Max.

 I have a Vortex Race 3 with Cherry MX Silent Reds and I tried to disassemble but could not remove the aluminium backplate at all. I did remove the all visible screws but the backplate(the outer shell of the keyboard) is still there. Can you help me about how to disassemble it?

Hi :) I have a pretty easy question, but keep in mind that I have no clue about making keyboards.

I planned to buy Apex Pro for about two mths. I want to get a good, premium keyboard where the money isn't the most important factor.

I've run into one big problem. One guy told me that this keyboard is trash. I was curious and asked for more details.  
After a few hours, we figured out the best set for me. But there is one big issue **I don't know anything about making keyboards**.   
Is it **really** worth buying loadout like this:

All of the switches sound good with my creams, but for some reason my space bar doesn’t return well and it is a lot heavier than a cherry profile keycap. My switch isn’t bad and the stabs I cleaned and relieved with less lube but it still happens. I’ve checked for interference maybe with the case because I am using a Drop Ctrl, but maybe I’m missing something. Or perhaps that’s how SA profile space bars are?

Would anyone have any ideas of alternative cases, or mods to this keyboard to make it significantly thinner?

So I'm using a Drop Ctrl at the moment, with cherry keycaps. There is interference with the keycap and the switch so they do not feel nor sound the greatest. Is there a good south facing switch pcb that is in stock at all? I've tired NK65 but not in stock :(

Hey guys, first time making custom keyboard.  So I just received my Zilents v2 for my gmmk white ice edition board.  Noob me, didn't realize that zilent v2's are 5 pin.  

I saw someone mention that I can clip the 5 pin switches into a 3 pin.  The Zilents v2 look like they have the little notches for plate mounting which is what the gmmk has right?

Are there any cons or drawbacks that a new guy like me is not seeing?

I type and game a lot but am also disabled, so my hands aren't steady most of the time-(a heavy alloy  chassis may help?) I enjoy tactile feedback but still need responsiveness for gaming. Because of my disability, a wrist rest is a must in addition to a Numpad and media controls, a raised design (not low profile) may also be appreciated. Macros aren't a must. Any other accessibility keyboard tips are welcome!

Should I buy an X-Bows? It's a prebuilt ergo keyboard that you can buy for like $100 (I think). Xah Lee reviewed it and said that it's good. They have Gateron optical and lots of people swear by optical switches and I happen to prefer linears. I've been told by someone that you can swap all the keycaps (even if he was a liar it's not important to me anyway).

Sounds too good to me, but perhaps there's a catch to it (except the software)?

So now to my questions. 

1. Is it worth using some sort of foam, or is it going to disturb the lightning into the acrylic case?
2. Right now i plan to solder white leds to get some backlightning. Is this worth if i am not using shine through keycaps?
3. Are the parts i picked ok? Or are there better alternatives?

Hey guys! I was wondering if the TOPRE KEYBOARD SILENCE- X from KBDFans would sove the interference problem on north facing switches? I can't find any washers in stock anywhere and was wondering if anyone has tried this before.

I have a Das Keyboard I bought years ago. It’s some variant of the model S pro. How do I tell what switches it has?

hi, may you help me?   
i can't remember a brand name. it was japanese/korean, with a gold logo.   
it was an high end, like 400-500$ per keyboard

Hello r/mk!  I recently upgraded to a Drop CTRL low profile with mx browns.  I really like how the keyboard looks but there is a god awful metallic ringing after each keystroke.  What is the solution to this?  I've heard possibly lubing the springs?
