The MSI Creator 17 is a great laptop for content creation, with its 8-core i9-11900H processor, RTX 3080 graphics, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD and 4K 17.3" HDR 1000 Mini LED display. It has excellent battery life and a good selection of ports including Thunderbolt 4. The 100% Adobe RGB display makes it ideal for Photoshop and Illustrator work. However, it does not have a numpad on the 15" model.

Is it wise to buy a gaming laptop over a gaming desktop?

Dont do it!. I got a MSI 17" from costco last year for $999.00. It was a great deal for the money but I never take it anywhere so the portability factor is irrelevant. I have a smaller chromebook for taking to class or Starbucks meetup kinda shit.

Looking for a good performance laptop for graphic design and blender work to replace MacBook Pro (£2000-£2500)

MSI make really good laptops designed for content creation. They weren't designed for gaming, but could have up to a 17 inch 4k super highly colour accurate display, an i9, an rtx 2060, 64gb of ram and a 2tb ssd. My 15 inch cheaper MSI creator laptop has an 82 wh battery so battery life is good.

good touchscreen 17" laptop - no budget

I ended up with the MSI Creator Z17 - which had everything I wanted, including the touchscreen but was more than I wanted to spend. If I didn't need the touchscreen, I probably would have gotten one of the slimmer gaming laptops

OLED Laptop for Media Consumption and Occasional Gaming while Traveling

Although since you need a SD card reader, MSI Creator 17 would fit that, so whatever you prefer the little nitty gritty things. You can go 15 for the smaller screen or 17 for all the ports you want. It also has a great battery life. (Gigabyte is like a 2B USD company vs MSI is a 42B USD company, therefore MSI has more money to invest into R&D, and MSI just by looking at it).

Hi, I agree with the other response, the [**MSI Creator has one of the best 4K displays in the laptop market. It has a 8-core i7-10875H processor, RTX 2070 Super graphics, 32 GB RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a 4K 17.3" Mini LED HDR 1000 display, which is a great combination for games at max settings 1080p, software development, etc. It is only 5.5lbs.
