 Now you can see on the front here we have our straps and we have compression straps at the top and at the bottom. you can see what's in here and then behind it. You can go down into it and then it opens up. Now one thing that this does is if you have something that's kind of long, you can slip it through and you can come all the way out at the bottom and this keeps it from moving around in your pack

 Now these are large YKK zippers with paracord poles and these have been polyurethane coated which makes them resistant to IR so you're not going to get that IR signature. but you'll also notice this seam right here. So when I open up my zipper, this same just helps protect this. it keeps leakage and seepage of water or things like that and plus just dust and other things
