The NEMO Dragonfly 2 strikes the ideal balance between helpful features and a reasonable weight. The interior is roomy enough to comfortably fit two people without feeling crowded, and there are enough pockets to store all your odds and ends. A good-sized gear loft can fit any larger items you don't want on the floor with you. We especially love the size and shape of the dual vestibules; located on the long sides of the tent, they offer more useable space than average. Color-coded webbing and poles make setup a breeze, and reflective stakes help to keep them highly visible even late at night.
As is typical for most types of gear, tents included, all the great features of the Dragonfly 2 come at the cost of weight. However, this is a trade we are happy to make, as we feel the Dragonfly finds a happy medium. The rain fly offers excellent weather protection; however, we think it could benefit from better ventilation. The zippered openings in the vestibules help some, but they don't stretch wide enough to prevent condensation. We have few other complaints about this tent and would happily carry the NEMO Dragonfly 2 into the backcountry for almost any multiday adventure.

 The other thing with the rain fly is those small velcro tabs that i had mentioned in my first review that i thought they were really hard to get together, definitely still annoying out. On trail - and i know if i compare it to the regular dragonfly and the nemo dagger, the actual length and width of what nemo can do with that part of the rain fly is completely possible. So yes, the small velcro tabs to hold the rain fly to the pole set was definitely something that could still be improved on and didn't get any better, as i used the tent over time. The other thing that i found out - i really liked about this tent on trail - was the grommet style attachment systems versus something like the copper spur that has the tip lock system

 To respond to my questions, i answered it very thoroughly and in the end like they didn't try to blame me or say i wasn't doing anything right with the tent before they found a resolution. They just took the tenant, inspected it and said: hey we'll, send you a new tent and they sent me a new tent. I really appreciated that they took the time to respond to my requests and my and my questions and actually stood by their guarantees. So that's one thing i really appreciate about nemo and again definitely would purchase more from them in the future, just based on their customer service and their warranties and the customer service response time

 Buckles to be able to get the rain fly to attach the tent, but because these are just pure holes from the grommet style. So would i bring this tent again on the trail? Yes, i would. I ended up loving this tent, especially some of the key features i talked about in my previous review. I loved having those daisy chains to hang up my clothes out on trail, especially at night

 Were there some things that became more annoying as i was hiking and some of the durability of the tent that i was worried about earlier on this year and now i've taken it out field tested it for 270 miles. This is my thoughts. These are my opinions. Comparing it really to how the copper spur also performed, i will talk a little bit about that as well, but anyways here we go so

So, since the tent tapers at the feet, my sleeping bag pushed against the side of the tent and got soaked, which then made me very cold that night. So that's when I decided to get the Tensor Wide and I love it and have slept on it a dozen nights. Problem is, my Wide and my wife's Narrow won't fit in the Dragonfly 2p. I've looked at similar 2p tents like the Copper Spur HV UL2 but it also tapers to like 41/42" which is too narrow for our pads

Wrong Tent

 I found it easier to just tuck this tent into my pack and continue to put other items on top of it and the final thing that I'll mention is just the attention to detail. None of these features really stand out by themselves, but they do make for a refined tent. For example, there are two zippers on the rainfly doors, so you can manage air flow or take a peek outside for more airflow and rainy conditions. You can use the two struts on the rain fly and when you roll back the doors on this tent, they don't get in the way

 Okay, let's get into this review now. The Dragonfly is an ultra-light three season: backpacking tent, that comes in a solo model and a two-person model I'll be reviewing the two-person tent, which weighs an additional 9 ounces over the one-person 10. If it comes with 50 % more floor space and 100 % more vestibule space, the Nemo dragonfly is a fully freestanding double walled, shelter with an asymmetric floor plan, two doors and two generous vestibules. It uses a 15 D nylon ripstop for the rain fly a 20 D nylon ripstop on the bathtub floor in a 10 D, nylon, ripstop and no-see-um mesh for the remainder of the tent body

 I'M glad Nima didn't at bigger events at the expense of weight, because there's only so much that can be done in those conditions anyway, the NEMA Dragonfly 2p could be the tent for you. If you're looking for a fully free-standing, two-person double walled tent that strikes the right balance of weight and livability, if you hike with a dog or a lot of gear, the extra vestibule space could really make a difference for longer adventures. I'Ve come to really appreciate the interior space and other creature comforts of this tent was this review helpful. Left my tent in my moms basement for a year and she accidentally got rid of it! Very sad day when I found out! Now I’m looking for something new and would love some advice as to what to buy.

What I need:

2 person capacity preferred, would consider a roomy 1.

Light (would love to be able to use it for backpacking as well as car camping, though I am casual about it and rarely go on trips for more than 3-5 days).

Weather resistance/3 season. 

Less than 500 American, prefer 2-3 (may buy used).

Easy and quick to pitch.

Don’t need a lot of bells and whistles, but durability is important!

 You'Ve got a lot of pockets, a lot of places to put things a nice large footprint. So even even with two people, you don't have to put your gear outside in the vestibule. You can bring it inside with you, so you have that cold night you wake up and your water is frozen. We'Ve got your gear inside

 Now, let's go over to the yosemite. What'S nice about yosemite is i had a chance to use it several times price wise, it's a great great price, to enter into backpacking, to get something lighter than something you know you may find at your local store. What'S good about this? Is you notice is again that large footprint, my most recent backpacking trip with brian? This is the tent that i used uh mine's a neon grain. Just like the kind of nemo is

You know we wanted to sit and talk for a little bit and rest after that long hike, but we can comfortably and have nice light for us the way it's easy to set up and break down. I'm looking to gift my boyfriend a tent for our anniversary but need suggestions on which is the best fit. I unfortunately have zero knowledge on camping gear at all. I know they would like a two person tent and something that they can easily backpack with so not too bulky. They once sent me a link to a Big Agnes Blacktail Hotel Bikepack Tent that was used that they liked so I'm wanting to make sure it's something maybe similar to this. Two Person Backpacking Tent Recommendations

OK for Good Weather, otherwise not so great

Hey guys, I’m a fairly new backpacking camper. Me and my GF were introduced to camping  (car camping at first) with Woods Creek 6 and it was faring well until a downpour got us drenched overnight on the 4th time we used that tent.

I’m looking to try my hand at backcountry camping this coming summer and I’m looking for suggestions on tents that are waterproof (have kept you or loved one dry on multiple occasions) and that can be used for car  camping as well if need be! 

I’ve done some research and seem to find that MSR (Hubba), Nemo dagger (hard to find in Canada), and BigAgnes copper spur seem to stand the test of time. 

My major concerns are the following: 
- waterproofing during heavy rains
- space (enough for 2 ppl and gear or 2 ppl and dog) 
- durability/quality 

I’ve heard complaints about BA not being durable despite being a 400$+ tent. 

My budget goes as far as 500-600$ CAD but can be stretched.
