I hope this works too, because I remember in the quick start guide, it tells me to connect directly into computer, okay, almost active. I should be able to connect in less than 10 minutes, all right, setting up this can take up to 10 minutes, okay, I guess I'll come back with this video in 10 minutes, all right. So I think my internet is up, because I can actually go online right now to see other stuff instead of my Xfinity activation account

 Oh no, he actually had to come here because I think he had to get the information on the actual modem, like the MAC address or some other identifying numbers off the modem because of the fact that when I did plug it in, I plugged it in before they got here. They got here and I was getting a signal, but no internet access. So there was connectivity, but I guess the modem had to be authorized. So he came, looked at the bottom, wrote down some numbers

 And I have RCN. A lot of people probably don't know what RCN, but it's a cable company that's not everywhere in New York City, but in sporadic areas. So they're in my area, literally the OS, the CO office is probably a few blocks away from me. So that's a good thing because my speeds are more accurate and faster since I'm right next to the CO

 If you need a replacement, or you actually find this adapter and you have no idea what it belongs to, which happens to me a lot. That's why if this works and everything, I'll just write. I've said this in other videos with a Sharpie, I have a Silver Sharpie and I'll put what it's for. So in this case, I'll put, you know, neck gear modem

First off I have been a NetGear user for almost a decade, but over the last couple years I have noticed not only their products, but their customer service degrade significantly. I have a Cm1200 modem that is only been in use for 4 months and over the last month it has deteriorated completely. It would drop internet once a day, then twice, then every couple hours, and now quite literally every other minute. I know it’s my modem, I have changed all cables, tried another router and the only thing that fixed it was borrowing my brothers modem, which is the exact same model as mine
