 So it is going to have that camber dominant feel on hard pack, that more energetic, stable, precise feel to it at the resort, running positive camber from the front foot all the way out to the tail, but then you have a significant amount of rocker going from the front foot out to the nose and it's kind of like a shallow planing rocker, which is something that I think does offer powderboards a much better feel. So all of that, including the waist width, this is a very wide snowboard, the Mellow 155, you're going to get a 265mm waist which increases the overall surface area. That, working with the directional camber profile, the setback, the taper, the super long nose you're going to find outside your front foot, is going to help to offer effortless float in the soft snow we have out here today. You're also going to get Nidecker's premium construction in this snowboard, they call it their premium sandwich

 If you've been watching the channel for a while, you know I'm a fan of the feel that you get for these boards that incorporate those directional features like a taper setback, the shifted camber that has a really good feel for initiating turns and driving through turns, both on the heels and the toes. And the other big benefit that you get with the mellow is the width. And it's a benefit, but it's also kind of a downside. On the positive, you can get more aggressive edge angles and really lean into turns confidently, knowing you're not going to drag your toes or your heels

 It has the surfy cam rock profile which is mostly traditional camber with a big rocker nose. It's got a fairly stiff flex and it's especially noticeable in the tail. You can get a good pop out of the stiff tail and it pushes out of a turn nicely. It's definitely stiff enough that you can just point it straight down a run

 I'm six foot tall about 70 kilos or 155 pounds and I was riding the 155 centimeter model. The Mellow comes in just three sizes which are all wide 150, 155 and a 160 and they are all set back 60 millimeters. It has the surfy cam rock profile which is mostly traditional camber with a big rocker nose. It's got a fairly stiff flex and it's especially noticeable in the tail

 I was riding the Mellow in my standard setup which is Solomon District bindings set to positive 12 degrees on the front foot and negative 9 on the back foot.  Though it's still got pretty good edge hold or as good as you could really expect any board to do in those conditions. When it softened up just a little bit you could really push the edges in and get some good turns and the wider width helped to get the board a little further over. Being so late in the season there was no chance of fresh snow but I can imagine that with the shape with the rocker nose, wide width and short stiff tail it would be good in deep snow. I just didn't get to try it

 It was a little bit overcast, it was a little windy, it tried to snow a little bit. You know, overall, it wasn't that bad of a day, and I rode it with my K2 Indie Bindings and my K2 Thraxis Boots. Overall, this board comes in on the stiffer side of the flex spectrum. It is directional flex, meaning slightly softer nose, stiffer tail

 This board is available in three sizes, 150, 155, and 160. This board features Nidecker's Surfy Cam Rock, which is a backfoot dominant camber with rocker up in the nose. So when you load it, it activates it, gives it that more surfy, playful feel, and you can pop off the back foot. I rode this board at Arapaho Basin on a leftover pow day, meaning powder pockets here and there, a lot of groomers in between, you know, something that would, you know, just those conditions where you can carve between powder

 This is one of those boards that you can slash the shit out of pow, but when you get on a groomer, you can play a trench. That camber profile with that rocker in the nose really lets you just drive into a turn, and it transitions smoothly from toe to heel. This is a board that on low tide years or low tide days, you can still just go out and rip a turn with. As I've said in other reviews, Nidecker side cuts are dialed, and this board is no exception
