But these problems must not be too widespread given the high rating that most Sony mirrorless cameras have. Regardless, I'd hate to be one of the unlucky ones. I haven't found any serious complaints about the Nikon Z 6II, but Z mount lenses are quite expensive, and there aren't as many options as Sony and Canon.

The Nikon Z 6II succeeds the Nikon Z 6 and offers similar performance and features, with a few minor upgrades. It improves upon its predecessor in a few ways, like adding a second memory card slot for SD cards and implementing dual EXPEED 6 processors. Otherwise, like its predecessor, it's a versatile full-frame mirrorless camera that delivers excellent image quality, with photos that look sharp and detailed even at higher ISO levels

It covers plenty of zoom ranges for most of your targets. It's sharp and I'm quite pleased with it on my Z 6II. If you want to do Milky Way photography, you need a 14-15mm lens, f/2.8 or faster to get a less than 30-second exposure at ISO 3200. The 14-30 f/4 would be a great companion to the 24-70 f/4.

This flagship mirrorless camera uses a full-frame sensor and is a good option for most wildlife shooters. From my experience the Z 5 with the AF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens or the 24-70 f/4 on the Z 6II easily lets me handle low light situations. Also, the Z cameras have in-body image stabilization which helps with the hand holding of the camera/lens.

The Z 6 II has to compete with the Z 6, close in specs and selling for a discount while it remains in stock, and the Z 5, priced lower, but also a bit behind the curve in tracking speed and video. It's why we're rating the Z 6 II a little lower than the Z 6, despite its improvements.

As an aside, the D850 doesn't have an anti-alias filter, which will improve some sharpness for landscapes and such but could create moire for fabrics and some patterns. I'm quite happy with my Z 6II. I was happy going from a D800 to D750 and the Z 6II is a very amazing camera.
