 Now we have a typing test coming up I have the halo 96 with the night breeze and the halo 75 with the baby kangaroo. I want to know which one you like more down the comments below. Now I don't know about you I like the sounds of both like this just sounds nice this is just a little bit more quieter a little bit softer. I don't know I don't really have a preference for either I like them both

 It's kind of a mouthful. Now, the keyboard that I have here is configured with the Night Breeze and I do have a typing test coming on later in the video for the Night Breeze as well as the Baby Kangaroo. So make sure you stick around for that as well. Now at checkout, you have the option of adding on a few additional accessories if you wanted to

 If we flip the keyboard over, we see the ABS plastic tray with the three stage risers, as well as the feet that keep it in place while it's on your desk. Newfie says that the bottom edge of the keyboard housing was inspired by the columns of ancient Greece, which is evident in its own unique column-esque design styling. The Halo 96 has 10 different backlight modes, four halo light modes, and four side light modes. They can be configured very easily by hitting the function key and the left arrow key to cycle through all the different effects, or the function key and the right arrow key to cycle through all the different colors

Now you see here the keys basically have the same exact layout there's not really a whole lot of difference in the size of the keys but here on the left hand side where we have the insert home and page up page down and then the right arrow key that is where you see the home num lock and all the rest and now the num key starts to come in to effect there giving it a little bit more of a massive footprint for it now in terms of weight the halo 96 as I mentioned is one thousand four hundred eighty eight grams and the halo 75 is one thousand one hundred eighty grams so it's like 300 grams difference which is about a half a pound if I'm not mistaken but it really depends I think on you and how you use your keyboard they both are very nice they both are very customizable they both offer a unique experience and I think both offer something that's not in the marketplace today in terms of look coming into the different levels now nowhere am I suggesting that you would own both of these or even any combination of that of but really depending on what you're looking for the halo 96 compared to the halo 75 even compared to the halo 65 they all offer unique features and they all offer something for everyone depending on what your preference is for me that tenkey layout is very practical I'm in numbers all the time I'm in excel all the time I do wish there was a little bit more breathing room between the number keypad and the directional keypad here at the bottom to give me a little bit more confidence when I'm using this there it's just a little bit too close and I don't have the muscle memory yet for this to have a high degree of accuracy and high degree of confidence now I want to know what your preference is let me know down in the comments below my name is Mike and I will talk to you guys in the next one

NuPhy Halo 96 Review: Bigger & Better - YouTube

My epomaker th80 sits on the shelf most days of the week unless I just feel like switching it up or need the more accessible f row for a particular game.

I bought an epomaker th80 and it’s great but it was a little big and I think the user settings are a little clunky.

Best pre built out there

 We've got a nice little array of different colors and different operating system keycaps so you can switch between Windows and Mac and change some of the keys, which is very nice. We've got a nice white space bar if you don't like the yellow that's on the board itself. And lastly on the right we have got a selection of switches. So if the switches you've got aren't to your taste, you can try some of the switches in the box to choose one that you do like

 It is, I mean, I'm going to weigh it in a minute, but it feels ridiculously heavy. But what you're getting is a solid keyboard that's going to sit on your desk that sounds amazing and feels amazing to type on. Newfie have spent the last couple of years absolutely revising the sort of the key feel on their mechanical range of keyboards. And between the 65, the 75 and now this new 96, they seem to have perfected it

 That's 974 grams. So quite weighty for such a compact keyboard. Then the Halo 75. That's 1

 But being ABS you do get incredible shine through properties which you don't get with the PBT. I do like how Newfie offer you the choice to be able to do this. Now also you could also buy other keycaps sets with shine through if you don't particularly like the ones that Newfie provide but I think they are a really good match for this keyboard. Okay so on to the conclusion

NuPhy Halo 96 Review - A compact full sized wireless mech ...

 Pressing the keys is absolutely effortless and my fingers glide over the keys. The keyboard itself is fairly heavy and well made. The halo ring around the middle of the unit looks crisp. The higher profile of the keyboard may require a wrist test for long term typing on it

From the packaging, to the special added dampening silicone, this keyboard is the absolute best. The craftsmanship and quality of products are amazing. I’m not a gamer and purchased this keyboard to type for work. I bought the night breeze switch option and it is so buttery and deep

I will say that the mod ability isn’t the greatest, as everything is already included and adding anything like case foam or tape modding interferes with the numerous screw holes that exist on the plate and pcb. The keyboard already comes with a silicone mat that is molded perfectly at the base of the case and makes modding it further unnecessary. Same with the switch and plate silicone mat, not much you can do that they haven’t already addressed. Switches and key caps are the only real mods that you can do to this

Stunned with the Quality

 Now you'll be happy to know you have a high quality metallic frame for the top half of the keyboard which gives it a premium finish. And while the bottom is a plastic material, this is some of the most dense plastic I've seen, almost to the point where you'd confuse it as being metal itself. Now you do have a wavy design at the back side, you'll also notice of course you have the Newfie logo, and finally you have built in razors at the bottom, thankfully they're not magnetic like we find on Newfie's low profile keyboards, trust me when I say built in razors are far more reliable. The rear side also gets a lot of action, so you have two distinct toggles, one to switch between Windows mode and Mac mode, the other one is to turn on the keyboard as well as switch between wired and wireless mode

 You get a fantastic build quality consisting of high quality metallic and plastic finishes. On top of that, those classic rounded Nufi keycaps with the double shot PBT process really do stand out and hey they're grease and moisture resistant on top of that. The option of switches that you have here are also fantastic and those baby raccoon switches are just top notch. The space bar or the ghost bar as Nufi calls it is also fantastic

 Past that you have the Halo 96 keyboard itself of course, and then finally you have an accessory kit which contains the likes of spare keycaps, switches, a key swapping tool, and of course the USB-C charging cable. In terms of design, given this is a 96% keyboard, it's pretty large in its overall footprint and it has a weight of 3.28 pounds, making it about as heavy as your average 15-inch laptop. But in all fairness, you have a very nice build here

I'll normally begin modifying a keyboard right out of the box; lubing and filming switches, foaming cases and top plates, tape mods, etc. to make them feel and sound better..

In the mechanical keyboard hobby, this is a budget or entry level keyboard. When you compare this to every other budget/entry offering, this keyboard does it all better in my opinion. If that's what you're looking for, save your keychron or RKS money and buy one of these.

This keyboard was such an enjoyable experience right out of the box, it's the first time I've actually just left the keyboard exactly how it was. The ghost bar is absolutely amazing sounding. I got the model with baby kangaroo switches, they're easily the best feeling tactile switches I've ever used. The bump is right at the top, and even unlubed or filmed they're really good feeling

Stop thinking. Buy this keyboard.

You can tell they really put thought and effort into making this quality board and it’s almost unreal for the price.

The initial sound and feel of the keyboard out of the box is what I would imagine people in this hobby aim for and for someone like me, it’s absolutely perfect.

Like This Keyboard So Much

 The build quality is excellent, the cnc'd frame is smooth and has no noticeable blemishes. I got it with the baby raccoons, and I would say they are a little heavier then a yellow, but not quite as heavy as a black. I also own a keychron k6 pro with the gateron g pro 2.0 reds and I would say the switches are noticeably heavier and you may notice some finger fatigue while you are getting used to them

Nuphy has done an outstanding job with this board. The box opening experience is awesome. The build quality is excellent, the cnc'd frame is smooth and has no noticeable blemishes. I got it with the baby raccoons, and I would say they are a little heavier then a yellow, but not quite as heavy as a black

Excellent pre-built mechanical

Solid construction, good sound, and (so far) seamless Bluetooth connectivity. The extra silicone under the space bar is also a really nice touch that you won’t normally find in prebuilts. As a whole, this keyboard is very similar to a $280 custom board I own for more than $100 less.
