I very much feel the same way. My go-to combination for travel and walking about is an E-M5 III with the 20mm f/1.7. When I saw the announcement of the Fuji X-E4 I was tempted to switch, but when you consider that it lacks IBIS and the Fuji 27mm is an f/2.8, the advantages in lowlight are negated. The Sony A7C was also briefly of interest, but it’s quite chunky and so are all the lenses.

They are more pricey, especially in lenses, but the ibis, vintage style and controls, weather sealing, some other improvements and features that make me want to upgrade such as the ability to change lenses, raw support, and bigger sensor. Another options were the Nikon Z FC (also for vintage style and controls), and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III (although idk how Olympus compares to other camera bodies).

Fast and accurate auto focus. 3. Good video features (4k would be nice and future proof, not sure if I need right now. A half decent onboard mic is also nice for when I don't want to use an external mic).

The used market in this system is huge, very rarely did I purchase new. If you have access to a used market with good buyer protection, buying used will save you a lot of money (this is true of any camera gear). Olympus have arguably the best in body image stabilisation in the business, they also have some of the best weather sealing getting around. A really great system for landscape photography.

Even pictures that I took while running (trying to keep up with a tractor pulling the kids) looked good (probably due to the faster speed and Olympus's 5-axis stabilization or whatever they call it). It was able to handle a family picture at dusk (blue hour?) and it looked fine. This will be the camera I take on vacations.
