 The battery more importantly has been upgraded from 3000mAh to 3700mAh. Not only that, the Note Air 2 Plus is heavier by nearly 25 grams. Another upgrade is the updated magnets all around the unit to support magnetic cases, which was not previously offered. Something not listed on the website that we noticed is the pen is actually different as well

Looks interesting, but man that stylus seems to have more lag than the note taking app on my Boox Note 2. If the price is right, this would maybe be a good fit for my girlfriend; though not being able to run the Kindle app on it might be a deal breaker. I’d have to check with her. She mostly wants a high quality note taking device with great battery life: she loves my Note 2 but balks at the price lol

 There is one specification on Goodereader website, indicating the weight of Carve Color to be 0.9kg. It is of course not correct. This thing is heavy but not that heavy

I'm not quite sure if Bigme did it intentionally or unintentionally, but it is very strange that they didn't mention the weight of the product at all when they were promoting their new wave of products. And apparently, there is a reason for that. I bet you cannot find any information related to the weight of Carve Color online, in English or Chinese

Compare to their plastic counterparts, this aluminum/glass design is less desirable, making the unit too heavy for an e-reader. Also a no-go is the 20 seconds it takes to boot up the device after it goes to sleep. Compared to the Amazon Oasis, this is nearly 20 times longer

 Okay, so let's pop into our local bookstore, hope these things stay around for a lot longer. So many are closing down the writing center in London. Let's grab a book off the shelf and let's compare it side by side with a book and let's see what it's like. Again, you can see there are some reflections here, side by side, the text is definitely sharper on the Note 2 and it's just as much of a joy to read as it is with a book

3"/A5 size. The main purpose of what I want to do is read untranslated manga on it (I guess these mainly will be in CBZ or PDF format), so screen real estate matters. The couple of options I'm considering are the Onyx Boox Note Air 2 and the Fujitsu Quaderno A5 (Gen 2). Neither of these, though, appear to have any output formatting options with Calibre
