 Another con is the shoulder straps are also sewn in so it's not adjustable depending on your torso size so something to you won't really want to get fitted before you dive in and commit. Another con about it is while they do use the awesome Nanofly technology, they went ahead and put that over all the pockets and everything rather than using stretch mess so you don't have as much stretch ability or versatility when you use these pockets. I would have really loved to at least see stretch mess on the front, but because they're using such a thin nylon material at 30 denier, they had to protect it so they use this material in its place. Another con about it is rather than using your typical compression straps like you might see on the Exo series, they went with this compression cord instead and really doesn't do the job

 It's one of the most comfortable packs I've ever worn because it does have this excellent air speed suspension system. one of my favorite suspension systems by Osprey. It keeps the pack away from your back for a while. It relieves any unnecessary tension points

Best Ultralight Stowable Backpack? (~10-20L)

 I never forgot that I was wearing a pack; the experience was painful. I am a middle aged desk jockey (clerk) who hikes every weekend. My legs are reasonably strong, but I do not work out my upper body at all. The heavier backpacks with substantial frames (like my Osprey Xena) transfer the weight of the backpack to my hips and legs

It's not for everybody.

 the hip belt system and the suspension system are stripped down to be as minimal as possible to still give you the comfort that you would need in the pack. but they don't have hip belt pockets on this, which is not a deal-breaker in my opinion. But now having used it, you can see that I've got a pocket here because I like to have access to my phone to look at maps and everything and so it would have been nice to have some kind of pocket option, even to be able to put keys or chapstick or a snack to have easy access to. instead I carry like some kind of a fanny pack or I've got this pocket here that I put snacks on my phone and such in

Hey, what's going on guys! Devin Here with backcountry exposure, let's do a review on the Osprey Levity 45 liter backpack today. Now the Osprey Levity comes in two sizes. You've got a 60 liter and a 45 liter. This is the forty five liter version

 There is one aspect to the hip belt that's a little annoying and it has to do with the way that the buckle and this nylon strap come across my belly. It just sits. Kind of weird and I don't know if it would be able to be adjusted if they had moved these Y straps here out a little bit more so that they carry the load a little bit different. It could also just be my body type

 But I've noticed that if I've had up to 30 pounds in this, it starts to collapse on itself because there's so much weight on the body and because the frame is not attached right against the back panel, it's moved away from the back a little bit so it doesn't carry that weight as well as say, potentially 30 pounds in this frameless pack. But again, 30 pounds for ultra light is not really in that ultralight realm, so keep that in mind as we go through this now. the hip belt system and the suspension system are stripped down to be as minimal as possible to still give you the comfort that you would need in the pack. but they don't have hip belt pockets on this, which is not a deal-breaker in my opinion

I like this pack. It’s very lightweight and fit everything I needed for the 6 day 100 mile thru hike I just completed. I also used it last year on a 5 day thru hike as well. The problem with this pack, and maybe it’s just mine, is that it leans to one side creating shoulder and neck pain

 Strap here is moved to the top, so it won't cause chafing against your arm and the load lifters they're, not just stitched to the harness and a traded spot, but they're connected to a big panel of fabric which pulls from the entire strap making the load more Secure when cinched so those little details that take the lumina to the next level, there's just one zipper on this pack in the attached lid. You have access into the single main pocket under the lid, so you can pack this. However, you want there's a lined sleeve for a reservoir that can route to either side shoulder strap when the pack is full of extra gear and food for a long stretch of hiking, the bellowed front, pocket and large side. Pockets can be stuffed out, but they disappear on the pack and can be compressed when not in use

Osprey Lumina 60 Women's Internal Frame Backpack

I REALLY wanted this pack to work, it's the only UL one I've found that works for a 15' torso that has back vents but because the back is not adjustable, the XS was weirdly too short and the S shoulder straps came up too high :( really disappointed, I feel like they could have made the XS torso a little longer because I'm 15' and it is teeny. Would only recommend if you have a very specific torso that it fits exactly, other than that the pack seems almost perfect (except the lack of hip pockets) but it's super light and roomy.

 Then I switched to a Gregory pack I might have been a Jade pack and then and that woman was too big and then I switched to oh and REI pack I tried a 40 liter or 45 litre and it was too small and then I tried the aggregor I mean an Osprey kids pack which was not fit very well didn't fit very well and then I tried oh and then I switch to Z parks which I used for two years. So this is pack numbers. Pack number six. Will this be the final pack judging by my addiction to buying gear? Probably not

 it doesn't have hip pockets. but I think that is not gonna bother me because I'm gonna actually be able to shove my snacks here again and just have easy access to snacks anyway. [Music] What else? It hurt

 So we're looking at like 25 pounds in the pack, maybe 25 and a half. And so that kind of did push the limit. it. was a little uncomfortable, but it was doable and it was just for a couple miles until I got to camp

 So how is it different? How is it better? Well, number one thing is the weight. That is what really made me gravitate towards choosing this pack is the considerable weight difference. And when we do look at the features and kind of compare the two packs, it is going to be kind of like comparing apples to oranges because this pack doesn't claim to be light. It has every bell and whistle you can think of that's just not its purpose

 For a woman. It has nothing to do with that. It is merely a sizing issue. So I explained this in a previous video
