I’ve had quite a few bags and sold many. I’m in the process of selling pretty much everything because realistically I only use a couple bags. It got me thinking if you all could only have 1 every day bag and one travel bag, which would they be?

I think I’m set on a CPL24 and a Black ember forge for travel.

Alright, if you could only have 1 daily bag and one travel bag, what would it be?

 -when the backpack is clipped at the top to help with weight distribution or when the carry-on bag is attached to the backpack, you cannot access any part of the backpack unless you unclip at least 2 clips. -although you technically can connect the carry-on bag to the backpack to make a larger backpack, it only works if your carry-on bag is not completely full and when it does work it makes you very top heavy by not distributing the weight well so it's easy to topple over (I'm in my mid 20's and felt uncomfortable walking with the mega backpack option) -this bag is advertised as 65l between both parts, but this isn't the case. The carry-on bag is around 35l and the backpack at most is 15-20l (which if you stuff the backpack full it doesn't fit under your seat) so I'd say you are closer to 50l when using both bags for airline travel. -less major, but when paying $200 for a bag, it would be nice if they included a shoulder strap pad

I love the Porter 46 bag from Osprey when I've used it before and decided to switch it up this time for the extra carry-on space with this bag

 First I'll start with the things I really enjoyed about using this bag then add the cons. Almost works well

 So overall, great little backpack. Probably not something you want to use for multi-day hike or anything, but it's It's comfortable for what I've used it for so far and it's got a lot of functionality, but we're both for kind of business travel and for vacation type travel. This is the carry-on part. It has an adjustable stowaway strap you can kind of clip onto the box if you want to carry it, more like an over the shoulder bag

 It's got the side handle too as well so that you can take anything off like conveyor belts or up in your overhead storage compartment. It also has another top pouch so if you need to put your with your minutes or your hat or whatever you need to do for when you're getting off or get off the plane or traveling. Great item hair! The main compartment has compression straps on both sides which are really nice. At the top, top compartment is matched

 Okay, the Osprey group has found a pretty cool way to deal with that. This just clips off in four different clips and the bag splits into two. This is a great feature for traveling, so when you get there, this is your carry-on bag. This is your personal item and it's a backpack so you put it all together and it is just one backpack that you can tell with

 Unhook it back here with the hook-and-loop And You can adjust it per your size. Got that sternum strap really lock it down. Same with those padded hip belts. really

 You Can see these large straps at the top, they actually undo here completely to release that compartment. So cool! Still, I love the utility of a wheeled bag that includes a high-quality hip strap and backpack straps, so I bit the bullet and bought an Osprey wheeled Farpoint 36. Unfortunately, though it could otherwise become my one bag for international travel from now on, I'm still expecting to be turned away again at some airlines, particularly in South America and western Europe. Does anyone know of something that is basically the bag I bought, but slightly smaller? I've looked everywhere, and haven't been successful!

"Global" sized alternative to Osprey wheeled Farpoint 36 backpack?

 The backpack sticks out at least 4 inches and eats up all of your foot space. I flew twice with it and was surprised that the stewardesses didn't say anything about it. The only other option is to put both the daypack and duffel bag in the overhead compartment, but connected they can be too big for smaller planes and disconnected you end up needing more space than is typically available. I'm returning it - going to try a 40L Farview instead
