I've been dehydrating stuff in the oven for a few years, but it's time to step up! I really don't know how much is it worth to get a cheap one, or to pay about twice the price and get a better one. Should I spend the extra since I already am inside the hobby, or are the basic ones just as good? Any brands to avoid? Brands you reccomend?

Finally getting a dehydrator- give advice!

 The two good points about this model was that it still had a large cooking area. The second was that it was easier to clean and store. Once the legs were folded under, it was easier to control over the sink while cleaning. I thought this was a step up, however there was one thing I noticed while cooking that I was somewhat disappointed in and that was the evenness of heating over the surface

 The first was the Tilt'nDrain BigGriddle. I chose this because of the griddle size, and I wanted a large area. I usually cook eggs, bacon, hamburgers, onions, grilled sandwiches and sometimes hashbrown potatoes. That’s about it
