Brand New Case Design The sleek and minimal look was designed to bring elegance to Regas classic style but still harks back to the swooped features hidden away in Regas past amplifiers. Combining all these aspects makes this Brio case a unique standpoint amongst the competition. Re-Designed Circuit Key improvements have been made to the circuits. The PCB layout has been fully upgraded to handle higher specifications for all critical parts.  The Brio R is an immensely musical amplifier. It'S adjoin and detailed, and despite a relatively modest output of 50 watts per channel, it can deliver very decent volume and impressive large-scale dynamics. What'S most impressive, though, is that you don't particularly notice those individual qualities so much, because the music itself comes first on top of all that the built-in phono stage performs vastly better than you might expect at this price, [ Music ], so the Rieger Brio are it's A clear level better than the best of the budget, amplifiers and good enough in some respects, to worry more expensive amps like Roxanne's, candy, k2 and names in 805. I that makes it an absolutely terrific, Buy 

 A price hike from 325 pounds to 480 seems steep, though, can it really be 155 pounds better than the outgoing 303 [ Music ], unlike the old Brio 3, but like the new raiga DAC, the Brio r is built into a half-wit casing, making it a very Compact unit, it feels immensely solid, especially for an amp costing under 500 pounds, but we don't think many people would describe it as good. Rega Brio-R review

I mostly listen to jazz on the turntable and classical music on CDs. The amp is a Rega Brio R, and the CD player is Reba’s Apollo R, no complaints with either, great sound, a pleasure to listen to for hours.

 It's got balls plenty. It's music detail is ok. It just isn't right though. Midrange is meh, too bright and sounds artificial and even harsh at higher volume levels, unnatural

You could argue that it's just personal preference and my ears are as old as my taste in audio gear, fair enough And yes the speakers are arguably not the finest out there, but that aside I'm comparing apples to apples - one amp vs another

The speakers reproduce what goes through them right?  While the Rega Brio isn't a poor design and that's why I gave it 3 stars, it's just not all that impressive at least compared to some very low to mid level 1970's audio gear. That's not to mention gear that is operating below their 100% level - in need of restoration

 It makes my ears hurt if you know what I mean. Bass is weak. Another thing that stood out, it had to be played at higher volumes to experience greater detail. It's my understanding that isn't unusual with non-tube gear, but I found this especially so with the Brio

Meh...Unimpressed

 The headphones section is now totally separate from the amp stage. The photo stage was greatly improved and the amplifier section received an entirely new power supply scheme. The real fun came when we got to connect our new Brio for testing purposes. We use the PSB

 This is how we felt with the new Brio and the imagine tease. The sound was big and dynamic. The sound stage is wide and well defined best. Yet the timing of the music was spot-on, something Riga is known, for we threw all kinds of music from pop to classical dubrio and it sailed through with flying colors

 Imagine T speakers. These are good sized for standing speakers that are highly regarded. They run around 2000 pair, depending on finish, since they are only moderately easy to drive at 89 DD efficiency. We felt they would be a great test of the Brio plus we just tested another $ 3500 integrated amp on the same speakers and and we elected not to carry after listening to it every once in a while when testing audio gear, we run across the combination That is just magical after the first couple of notes, you can tell you have an amazing combination

 The real fun came when we got to connect our new Brio for testing purposes. We use the PSB. Imagine T speakers. These are good sized for standing speakers that are highly regarded

Rega Brio Integrated Amplifier Review

 Very flat response, good with pretty much any genre, but I particular love replaying live recordings. Sounds like I am there with the performance.

Not pictured: U-Turn Orbit with Ortofon Blue, Rega Pre-amp, Rega Brio amp, Schiit DAC fed from a Hifiberry. Sounds very good, some more room to breath would probably help but the ScanSpeak woofers dig very deep, and the ribbons don’t much care about placement. Very flat response, good with pretty much any genre, but I particular love replaying live recordings. Sounds like I am there with the performance

DIY Philharmonitors - closer to audiophile than when I started.

 I will also add that this amp is not as warm sounding as some may suggest, so take caution when pairing with bright speakers. I used this on the Klipch rp160m's and the sound was very fatiguing after a while. I'm returning my unit so be aware you may have to do the same.

Here's the thing, this amp sounds amazing if you get one that works properly. Excellent phono stage, channel balance, timing, imaging ect..

 Built like a tank. I purchased the Brio instead of new speakers--I was looking for something more refined than the B&W 706 S2s and the salesman recommended changing the amp from the NAD C368 I was using. Happy so far: tight bass, warm mid, treble is comfortable. Never heard the B&Ws sound this good, great detail and clarity, like you'd expect from $2k speakers

I am running a MoFi Studiodeck with an Ultratracker cartridge and it sounds great through the Brio's built-in phono stage, better, in fact, than the MoFi Studiophono (which sounds livelier but also harsher). The Brio has no built-in DAC and no digital inputs, so your gear will need onboard DACs or you'll need to connect an external DAC--I use a iFi Zen Blue Bluetooth device, for streaming a NAD CD player and a Yamaha SACD player

 The Brio's volume control is Japanese, by ALPS. Forgoing the usual construction of screws securing case to chassis, the Brio's two-part case of black aluminum is joined internally by four case-length steel rods that basically clamp the shell's two halves together. I recommend going to demo the product first and talk with a dealer or rega on what speakers pair well with there products and if your brand/type of speaker pairs will too. Hope this helps everyone on Amazon make better decision on buying the product.

 So check your ground first. most low-end audio quality equipment they have two prong cords so you will never get the noise or does not have sensitive amplification to pick up any noise from the house outlet electric. You can pay electrician to fix the grounds or buy a product like PS audio the filters noise through a light bulb that you plug in an outlet. Some problem why people review the equipment sounds bad is do to poor speakers they own or they don't know how to pair right equipment with there speakers
