 However, improving the belt also improves musical reproduction most of the time, too, although we couldn't hear a noticeable difference this time around. It's great that Riga have taken this opportunity to improve an element of its functionality, and we respect Riga for always endeavoring to continuously improve their products over time. The not-so-good news is that, in line with the added manufacturing costs, the price of these turntables has increased slightly, from £249 for the Plan A1 to £275, and from £329 for the Plan A1 Plus to £345. I'm sure this won't be welcome for the prospective customers of the Plan A1 and Plan A1 Plus, but considering the more premium appearance, updated belt, and lifetime warranty, we think this is still a fair price to pay, but let me know your thoughts in the comments below

 A second update is that they've upgraded the Planar One and Planar One Plus's belt, which is a highly critical element of the turntable, and it's a very intricate manufacturing process, as it is near impossible to create a perfectly round rubber belt. So Riga have spent years perfecting this process and leaving the belt with as little variation in density as possible, and the new versions of these turntables will take on their new EBLT belt, improving stability and reliability. However, improving the belt also improves musical reproduction most of the time, too, although we couldn't hear a noticeable difference this time around. It's great that Riga have taken this opportunity to improve an element of its functionality, and we respect Riga for always endeavoring to continuously improve their products over time

 The turntable is a little beat up as well. The dust cover has a small crack and one of the clips on the back is broken so the cover wont stay open on its own.
