It seems less practical for use in circumstances where you might need to periodically access contents of the main pack, such as in a day or overnight hike. There is only one large U-shaped zipper to access the main compartment of the main pack, and when the daypack is clipped on it obstructs the use of this zipper.

 A lot of the problems are related to weight savings, which makes sense for a hiking like day pack.

 The water bottle spots on the sides are big and can be tightened, very nice. Even that front netting is useful sometimes.  But I don't really hike, I bought the pack as a daily driver and it's not suited. The pack just isn't robust enough, but then it's a little too tall so it flops over when you set it down

I've purchased this backpack for my TMB (Tour du Mont Blanc) trek. The first pleasant surprise when I've got it was its weight - the pack is extremely lightweight, which helps a lot to reduce overall weight one has to carry. I've used it to carry everything needed for a two-week trek (w/o a tent and a sleeping bag), overall between 7 and 10 Kg, and was very pleased how the pack fit my back and shoulders. Needless to say that the pack is strong and durable enough to survive such trek

A good backpack for day treks

I had a geology field camp for my school and I needed a pack for everything when we had to go on some vigorous hikes and this came in handy. It can fit a decent amount of stuff and not feel too heavy because elf the weight distribution. However, there are two things I noticed. I’m disappointed that the side pockets weren’t bigger for my big water bottle
