 The RecSync is able to shoot in 4K, but not if you're running the two-channel dash cam. If you're running the rear camera as well, you'll expect to get 1080p on both cameras, which I believe is adequate enough for a dash cam. I mean, how many movies do you even see that are in 4K? It's pretty unnecessary. 1080p for me is perfect, but for the size of the camera, I kind of did expect a little more

 The sensor is quite clear, and it does really well in daylight conditions. Keep the WDR setting on, as the footage is quite lacking if you're running without. But, you know, if you're really handsy, you could just toggle that yourself

 So I guess it's safer in that way. But when you have this dash cam on your car, what I've noticed from just driving around is that you're definitely going to notice this big black block, like a big black block on your car. And out of all the dash cams that I've used, this one I've definitely noticed the most. Let's first talk about the mic quality

Good Camera, Not My Choice though

I live in an area where I use street parking/ parallel parking and the main reason I want to get a cam is to catch hit and runs (people have backed into my car and not left info). Any recommendations for cams with excellent parking modes that would help with this?

Recommendations for a camera where Parking Mode is the primary use?

I purchased the camera primarily to record scenery during our RV travels. I received the camera a couple of days ago and have made a couple test runs with it in the car. I'm satisfied with the picture quality.  The two problems I have this far with the unit are

1)  I think a good parking detection would be the most important feature to him. I know he's anal about his car getting hit while it's parked, I want to get him a dash cam that records before and after - so I think this means it would need to be hardwired?

2) Not sure if he'd want front and rear - I'd like to hear your guys opinion on if you find it 100%   
 necessary.

3) Good quality - I'm aiming to stay above 1440p.

4) What are the best dash cams out there? 

5) How do I go about hardwiring if I need to? Should I have a professional do it? Where's the best place to get that done?
