 Now that might seem a little bit like a little bit sketchy, because you would think you know material hooks sewn into the booth might not be as practical might not be as heavy duty right, but again keep in mind that this boot was designed with lightness in Mind so the designers they try to make as many things lightweight as possible, and this, of course saves on a lot of weight. Okay, so that was that, let's move on to the outsole traction and stability. This is where we talk about. Obviously the outsole - and i definitely do like this outsole a lot now, it's very similar to a lot of other solomon boots - uh, for example, ultra 3 mid x, gtx

 There are a few factors that contribute to the comfort level. Let'S get the very first one out of the way. Probably one of the more important ones is the weight and the weight of these boots. This is size 10 by the way 13

 Yes, gore-tex waterproofing. Alright, let's get into the reviews. Some of you already know this review specifically for my ultimate survival, boot section. Basically, if this was your last boot that you put on and something bad happened, a riot a pandemic and you had to leave your house and walk, run, fight all the way to survive

 Of course, just like with most salomon boots, you do get that wraparound feeling whenever you put your foot in and there is actually you know, the top of the toe box is very, very soft here, which is very nice and soft fabric. So you have that wraparound feeling you have that softness of the fabric that contributes to comfort as well, of course, the tongue, as you can see somewhat unique most of the times it's much more solid in a way or much more rigid here, as you can see, It'S really just a very nice soft material again definitely contributes to the comfort level, definitely contributes to the lightness of the boot. Some people might not find this boot as supporting. However, i wanted to point out here, despite all of this softness and lightness, you do have a very decent amount of padding here in the ankle area in the shaft, which is very nice, contributes to the protection which we will talk about later and, of course, contributes To the support of your ankle, which contributes to the comfort level, everything contributes to everything, and you probably already noticed this cut out here in the back of the heel, which also contributes to the comfortable, especially whenever you're running, definitely a great boot

 Our next video uh, we'll literally get out there and show some of it what i l, what i've read about them, so they get reviewed pretty well so far, they're really light, i mean extremely light, and so obviously i just opened them up to try them on You get the stuffing inside normally and then it had it had these tags attached, which i cut off.  The only thing that makes me give them 3 starts is that that they already started to fall apart, and I did not feel like they were 100% waterproof walked through some water and it felt like water came through. My daughter had bought some Colombians hiking books and I think hers held up just as well for a cheaper price. I feel like for what you pay you they should last longer!

Super lightweight

 One of the really important things, especially with a hiking shoe, is protection, because when you move from a boot to a hiking shoe, you have less protection, there's just less material between your foot and the trail right, and so different companies come up with different ways of Doing this i don't think um and if i'm wrong go, tell me in the comments, but i don't think this has a like a trail guard thing like danner. Has this thing called trail guard, so they put a hard plastic plate sort of between the outsole and the midsole which protects your foot from sharp objects like rocks, and things like that when i tested these against the four other shoes for protection underfoot, they perform the Worst - and i think that's just that was just a just - a design decision that solomon made for these, but i think you know if you're going to go hiking on a trail, that's got a lot of rocks these shoes. Your feet are gon na feel that more than other options again go check out. My video, where i, where i review five different uh hiking shoes, fit uh

 These shoes aren't super comfortable, as you can tell, i don't love these shoes uh. I think that you know they're gon na work, but there's just i found of the five that i tested. There'S there's better shoes out there. So that's the midsole, it's underwhelming, i guess the outsole

. It'S this geometry right here where, on the outside of your foot, it cuts in a little bit like it does on the inside. My foot doesn't like that, and so, if the shoe's not wide enough, i'm i'm you know the outside of my foot's, pushing on this hard plastic here and it just hurts after a while. So this is actually the wide version these fit really really well

 This is the bare minimum that you need right in a hiking shoe to be able to hike on a trail, so it would be appropriate if you had a light, backpack or just no backpack at all, so for like day hiking, which is what i'm going to Be doing in italy on the on the mesh they have this coating. I think it's probably a thermoplastic urethane coating that you can see here that that covers part of the mesh which is probably going to protect the mesh. I don't think that these the solution, a lot of hiking shoes, are doing this. I don't think it's going to stand up to a lot of abuse, but a shoe like this probably isn't going to last that long anyway

My mother and I both bought a pair of these shoes at the same time. We have narrow feet and both ordered a half size down from what we normally wear. They fit great, were super lightweight and provided appropriate ankle support. They were waterproof and awesome for one year

 At the one year mark, the material on the toe boxes of both sets of shoes started to deteriorate right along the toe crease. They are no longer water resistant and are wearing to the point you can see your socks! It is such a bummer that these shoes don't last.

 So that's the Salomon outline mid GTX women's boot. There [ Music, ] initial, feel for the shoes baby, because it's pretty strong, [, Music ]. So we're almost at the top of the path and it's just a whiteout, pretty much it's quite enjoyable. I'M really trying! Then we're in England in the sort of winter months, so the shoes they're faring out

 The box best I've ever worn them haven't, got any blisters they're pretty comfortable. So I think of team. Get up get the right pair of socks, [, Music, ], 

So so these are the Solomon outline mid GTX women's walking bees now picking them up. Initially, they actually feel really lightweight. Now they are gore-tex lines, so they're going to keep the feet nice and dry, but they've also got mesh around the outside just here and here which ascertains to the breathable factor and they feel quite robust. They'Ve got a contour grip, salt and and they've also got some nice traction points there

 I mean they're really flexible, as you can see, and you can move your foot quite easily, especially on this note and the canta grip, which is what's underneath. It'S really keeping you stable and which is pretty good because, especially on this ice, it's a little bit a little bit rough, and now we just see how it goes so onwards and upwards [, Music ]. So today I've been wearing these Salomon outline. It'S TTX beats now they are emitted by big human of Rome like trendy socks up my trousers
