Schiit Magnius

To put everything in context, this is a fantastic amp.

My first pair of high end headphones that really came to life now that my Magnius/Modius Shiit stack finally came in after months of waiting. Such a huge improvement in sound quality from just being plugged in to my pc. Very new to this audiophile world but I'm so happy I'm in it now. Music never sounded so amazing and clean!.

This is a very capable setup for that money but I want to tell you one thing just for your knowledge for the future or maybe you want to step up your budget even higher (try to avoidto become as insane as me and other people in this subreddit already have become already - but this might be helpful knowledge). The Schiit Modius and Schiit Magnius for example are balanced DACs/AMPs.

[Armour & The really shined on them. You'll also want to pick up an amp/DAC (Schiit Magnius + Modius is a good combo). And remember to EQ. Using Equalizer APO is pretty necessary for just about any headphone.

Otherwise, I've yet to hear any huge improvement-- it's more about the implementation of that individual system. Also, a lot of amps, like the Schiit Magnius, have a better balanced output at the expense of single ended-- because of cost compromises. If you want everything, you're dropping $$$.

Over at SBAF they really hated the Magnius. Looks like Shiit made it to measure well (that's the cool thing now) and didn't do much for it in terms of musicallity. Honestly I would skip anything Topping (please stop supporting those assholes from China) and get an Asgard 3.
