 But then the kicker is that the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 sell for less than the Apple's. I think you can get the Sony for about the same price, roughly 200 and something euros. But the Sennheiser sell for that amount. Two hundred and fifteen euros, I think I paid when I bought my pair

 So it means that for me the Sennheiser are not quite as comfortable as the AirPods Pro, either version 1 or 2 because they're the same ear tip shape. But in the long run, for several hours, I think they just shade the Sony WF-1000XM4 on Comfort Factor. And I think that's an important consideration if you're going to be wearing these true wireless IEMs for several hours. Obviously for 20 minutes, not really going to make a difference, but for several hours it does

 And I think it might have been some Bill Callahan. And all three of those albums for me sound better through the Sennheiser than they do through the Apple and the Sony. In fact, next to the Sennheiser, the Sony WF-1000XM4 do sound really quite muddy. They're good and they have lots of punch and they have a sort of big chunky sound

We NEED to talk about Sennheiser...

 If you're buying headphones in excess of $200 bucks, they're going to sound really great. You'll want to wear them to listen to your music or watch movies more so than anything less than that pricepoint, and that's about it. There is a LEGION of people who would theoretically say that I'm extraordinarily ignorant as to the nuances of headphones and audio playback and good for them. I'm not that audience, and I don't pretend to write for that audience now

  The sound quality is great. I'm no audiophile though. I suppose I'm kind of a wannabe audiophile since I keep returning to the well of fancy, multi-hundred dollar headphones every few years, but no matter how much money I throw down I've never been like "yes, this mid-range is clearly worth the additional $50 dollars." I think that's the trap of fancy headphone buying for the average person really

TL:DR - Coming from KEF Q150, heard Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless first time a few months back and loved the headphone sonic pleasure . Tried the new firmware High End Sound Tuning and loved the soft warm mellow detailed sound.

 I returned the Momentum 2 because the pinch was just too distracting. The M3 cups feel more plush and overall have more surface area contacting the head so less of a gripping sensation on the actual ears. Overall build quality is pretty solid. Less creaky compared to the Beyerdynamic Lagoon

 The Beyer with its physical on/off switch instills more confidence.  Unlike the Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC, one cannot turn it on and simultaneously use the 3.5mm jack. I want to take advantage of active noice cancelling while still opting for the better sound quality by going wired, but in my tests the sound output level is extremely low and dead sounding when trying to do both at the same time

  Overall, a fine, comfortable headphone for casual listening with the added convenience of decent enough wireless capability, but definitely with its quirks.

I'm looking for a pair of over-ear headphones with as good sound quality as possible. I'm now using Audio Technicna m50x which isn't a wireless headphone, but I would like to find wireless headphones that would be on same level with the m50x. ANC and such is of course bonus. I would use the headphones for listening music at home and doing some light gaming, like chatting with friends while playing so it doesn't need to have the lowest possible latency. My budget would be aroun 200-300 euros but I'm trying to buy second hand cans. I'm now looking at Sony WH-1000xm3 and would like to know if anyone have compared these headphones with m50x. Of course m50x's are studio headphones and I will be still be using them for that purpose.

Wireless Headphones with best best sound quality

 but I couldn't find any difference in these vs my existing headphones. I'm not a super audiophile, but I tried critically listening to various music, including some lossless stuff. I was hoping for an upgrade in the experience.  *NOISE CANCELLATION* From what I've read, Sony is King here

 They're better with passive, due to the ear cups, but listening to some noises like water running, it felt like my existing set won by a small margin. I've brought my existing set on a plane shortly before buying the M3's, and they performed quite well. ANC without music cut out some of the harsh tones of the engine and wind noise; music on low volume was enough to forget there was any noise. Turning ANC off while the music played resulted in an abrupt return to the noise, and now I couldn't hear the singer, resulting in higher music volume to compensate

Great sounding, but not worth the cost

Pretty good all-rounder IMO, sound signature more sounds targeted towards the casual listener, if that makes sense. **Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless**.

  Battery life: once you turn off smart pause( which is a must if you intend on moving your head at all while using these) it’s pretty bad. It’s been 2 months and I think I get 10 hours of battery on a full charge ? Maybe it’s the industry standard but I’m constantly needing to charge these.  Build quality; feels great at first but even after a few months of use, I can tell the frames feels flimsy, I feel like it would snap immediately if I stepped on them or something. Looks good, but definitely cheap materials outside actual ear pad radius

The noise cancelling on these headphones is extremely  It’s hard to describe but it feels as though the noise cancelling completely mutes ambient noises without making you feel like you’re on completely silenced from everything going on around you. That said, if you’re using them to block out all noise, like on an airplane or something, I’d prefer something a little stronger - but these are perfect for my usage.  Range; I can still hear these things in my bathroom upstairs, surprisingly excellent  Sound quality: very high for wireless, but I’m not much of an audiophile

The Sennheiser PXC 550-II sounds most neutral, and the Sennheiser Momentum 3 sounded best among the V-shaped tuning (boosted bass and treble, scooped-out mids) that's so common with consumer wireless headphones these days. You also could consider IEMs, which considerably deepen the rabbit hole you're about descend.
