 I like firm beds, and it gives me great support. Others thought differently, but never a terrible review from any friends of different sizes who visited me (I live/d in a tourist destination). I am a petite person, weighing barely over 100lbs, so almost any bed is supportive/doesn't give in too much to my weight. Firm, but supportive

 My girlfriend is about 120-125. This mattress no matter how much we rotate it has a definite my side/her side. She's been sleeping with me in it for a year and a half and she's noticed a steady decline in comfort. To the point where I'm now sleeping on our sofa some nights, (even when I'm not introuble) and she opts to join our 5 year old in her queen bed, which used to be hers

  For the 610$ I paid for this shipped to my house, I guess I'm ok (I use this word lightly) with it for the year-18 months or comfort I got out of it, but now it's going to be heading for our dumpster unless there's some way I can warranty it, at which point I'll probably use the replacement for a guest room.  We've had people who aren't used to this mattress come and stay when we're out of town and they love it. But after every day use, I'm over it.  2 stars just due to how quick this got uncomfortable

Initially this mattress was awesome. It felt great

  All of my mattresses are still in good shape with good support and some have now been slept on for well over a year and still going strong. Will update if I have any issues.

 If you don't have a strong man to help you with this, you will have trouble. UPS had to help me in the door with it on a dolly. It arrives in a box, contorted and airtight sealed. Unpacking was a two man job and we unpacked it right on the frame

*I am using my same review since I now own 4 of these mattresses. One 10-inch Queen and two 12-inch Queen and one 12-inch Twin with virtually no discernible difference in comfort except the height of the mattress.*  I've purchase memory foam toppers in the past and wound up very unhappy with them.  I will let her know to "wait a few minutes" and she will sink down to my level >:)  The mattress has a very consistent feel to it. Unlike our pillow-top (don't ever buy one) that only kept a consistent flat surface for about a week. This mattress has no need to be flipped, as the gel will always try to retain its original form. No springs means kids will not enjoy jumping on it :D  Also

 This is the first memory foam mattress my wife and I have ever owned, so we were not expecting it to be so firm at first.  After laying long enough, and depending on your weight and body size (throw in some science / math for you guys), you will sink very far into the foam. My wife, who is much smaller than myself, always comments that it freaks her out that she is much "higher up" than I am when in bed. She notices when she first lays down

This mattress is very comfortable. Not too firm, just the right amount of firm. Nowhere near sleeping on the floor like I saw another reviewer mention. I have no problem falling asleep, it's waking up that is the problem (more points for the mattress)

Received my mattress 1 day after I ordered it. I'm a Prime member and chose 1 day shipping for only $9! In any case, the mattress was folded in quarters and vacuum sealed in a plastic bag. Once opened it expands rather quickly. The mattress is a little softer than I imagined but regardless of that - I slept soundly! I slept on it the day I got it

So began my long research project into the specifics of memory foam mattresses.  They have been out for quite a few years and there is a lot of positive information but what I wanted to know was the complaints. What I found was there is a wide range of differences between makers and mattresses

 There are a lot of complaints on seating at night. I don't even use covers so that was a major problem for me. Then we found the gel infused memory foam and the claims for this was the heat was transferred away keeping the the overall temperature below your body heat temperature. This settled it for us

  Gel foam: I can't tell the difference between this and regular memory foam other than this possibly being a bit more firm. I didn't lay on a lot of memory foam mattresses though.  For the price I would definitely recommend this mattress to a friend wanting to venture into memory foam.

 Overall, I would say the bed is on the firmer side but still plushy enough for my taste. Winter may be a different story..

 After that, it mostly goes away unless you bury your face into the mattress without any sheets on it. I unboxed it in a spare bedroom with the window open and a fan on it to assist in "airing it out". I think this helped with the smell also.  Firmness: Very dependent on the temperature and moisture level of your room

 If your room typically stays below 70 degrees, the mattress will feel more firm. Above 76-78 seems to make it much less firm. I noticed a few nights that we had the A/C on that I didn't find the bed as comfortable in terms of firmness. You may also notice that the firmness increases after the first week
