I am 6’ 190 lb and have serious lower back pain. The Serta was a good seat to come back to work to after 5 days on my living room floor recovering from a herniated disc.

I am looking for a high quality office chair that allows the entire seat to tilt back. I have dealt with back issues for several years and for whatever reason, the ideal sitting position to not aggravate my back is with my chair back and seat tilted backwards (so that the front of the seat is "up") with my feet resting on a stool.

Unfortunately, while an Aeron has the kind of tilt I'm looking for, I've tried it and don't find the seat comfortable. I've looked at the Leap but it doesn't seem to offer actual chair tilt, just back recline, and the Humanscale Freedom looks like no tilt as well.

The Nightingale CXO seems to have SOME tilt, but I'd be curious the experience of folks who have it.

I'm also open to any other ideas, thanks for the help!

I'm sitting on the side of the Serta Perfect Sleeper Select Climbing - plush pillow top mattress. As you can see, even with all my way on the edge, the edge support is holding up really nicely. The only layer that's compressing is these pillow top layer here and that's supposed to do that. That's pretty typical

 It's a overall very comfortable feel. There's really no pressure points to speak of. I'm sinking into the mattress nicely and all the typical pressure point areas. So like I said, no pressure points to complain about

 I called Serta to ask if they are able to look up what a recent version was, and the very enthusiastic (/s) salesperson said that they are not even able to provide a comparable version from a year ago since the formulas change so much and "they're all handmade". I don't know if this is BS or not but I do know that this mattress is what we want.

 I Would say that this mattress has more of a medium feel to it. It's a little bit softer than the firm pillowtop version of this mattress, but not by a whole lot. I'm sinking in the decent amount. Like I said, it's got kind of a medium feel to it

Sitting on the side of the Serta Perfect Sleeper Select climb into plush pillow top. you can see as I put all my weight on the edge. Here that pillow top the comfort padding layer there between the two tape edges is compressing. It's pretty normal since that's all foam, but underneath that Excel edge is staying strong for some good support

 Along with that I don't have much pressure in my shoulders. My lower back and my hips feel really good, so rather there's not much to complain about for a side sleeper of my body type. All in all, I Think Actually, if you have my body type you'd be fine regardless of your sleeping preference, bag, stomach, or side. Thank you!
