 Having said that, I would not recommend this Shark to anyone for a ONE AND ONLY vac. It is not versatile enough to be the Lone Ranger of cleanup.  I purchased this vac for the large areas of our house with hardwood and tile floors for quick cleanup along with the accompanying area rugs in these rooms. Out of the box first impressions: WHO EVER THOUGHT THAT A VAC THAT WOULD NOT STAND UP ON ITS OWN WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA? First MAJOR design flaw! Often during the course of vacuuming, you need to stop, and either move something, or in some way have need of walking away from the vac for a few seconds

 ANNOYING feature!  Second design flaw in my estimation is that when removing the dirt cup the intake hole is pointing directly down toward the floor (big open hole into the dirt cup) and the first time I went to empty the dirt cup, it sprinkled a bunch of dirt out onto the floor. Their Vaccums still reigns unparalleled in quality vs. functality vs. value. I still give this model 3 stars  because it STILL beats most other vaccum brands out there and still trust the Shark brand, the name still firmly held in high regard

 However,for me personally, I'd happily take some bulk and heft for equal levels of power and suction. Moreover, all of the flooring in my house is tile and apparently when used on hard floors it makes a high pitched screeching noise. Every turn or directional pivet makes a small screech.

I went through all of the manual recommended troubleshooting  steps and  I'm still not happy with it's functionality. My last hope is to send it in with under the 5 year warranty that came with it. If it doesn't get to the level of standard I expected It to be at from when I first took it out of it's package, ten I'm going to be really disappointed. Overall, in personal opinion, and my personal experience with this model of vaccum, I am quite certain that this particular model is just not my cup of tea, or cup of dust rather

I have 3 different types of Shark Vaccum cleaners.

 It's easy to assemble and disassemble in order to use it in all its different forms. It performs pretty well on pet hair.  The less than good: it has to be stored in an awkward unconnected position, where the wand still sticks up, but the handheld hooks onto the base. Good design in that it hooks on and doesn't tip over, just weird that you have to take it apart (I think you could hang it on a wall hook if you had that kind of room and then it could remain in one piece

Not exactly what I was expecting

 Going back to their "no-tangle" technology, I've had this unit for over 6 months and I've only had to cut off the stuck hairs once. That is a HUGE improvement from my previous units where it was a weekly ordeal. I've broken two cordless Dyson vacuums and thought this would be my save all. I do believe that this has more suction power for longer because it is corded, I just wish it wasn't so heavy

Wish it was a button to "lock" in standing position and doesn't do it automatically

Good Concept, Missed the Execution

 The suction cup, when positioned atop the stick during regular use, make the entire apparatus very top heavy. Because of this, its impossible to set the vacuum aside for a second without it crashing to the floor. I got this at a 30% off Treasure Truck discount so I will keep it, as it works really well for what it's supposed to do. If I paid full price I probably would have returned it, the regular cost is too high for all the design issues

The suction on this is great - it's made my floors so much cleaner simply by sucking up dust, dirt and pet hair really well. The brushroll/vacuum itself is really maneuverable and light. It gets into corners, tight spaces and underneath furiture easily. I also really liked all the attachments for stairs, corners, baseboards, and upholstery

When it worked,  it worked great.

 The dual rollers seem to preform as stated. I vacuumed the entire house and only noticed a couple of hairs wrapped around the innermost roller where with the old vacuum, you couldn't see the roller because of the hair! The motor on this leaves me wanting more. It just doesn't seem like it's enough suck! This vacuum will not stand up on its own so you need to lean it against something or lay it on the floor when not in use. It includes three attachments but no place to keep them

Kind of underwhelming.

We've had this vacuum for almost a year now and I am sad to say that I do not think it was worth the money.  We had the original shark vacuum and it was so much better than this one.  The Apex may be good for people who don't have pets, but we have a german shepherd, and he sheds massive amounts of fur, and this vacuum just can't keep up with it.  Also, I do not like the design

  It's very top heavy and if you want to stop for a moment to move something out of the way while I'm vacuuming, I have to prop it up against the wall.  It clogs continuously.  We just bought the Bissell Pet Plus and it was a lot cheaper and works a lot better.

Disappointing

 I will say it’s light, easy to put together, carry around the house, I like how it can get under tables easily, and the fact that it will pick up a lot of stuff that regular sweepers don’t. Again it’s a nice sweeper I don’t regret buying it just wish I would have known some of this stuff before purchasing.

 Everything popped out and everything could be cleaned. The new models are getting heavier and harder to keep clean. I'm a perfectionist and like a clean vacuum.  If I can't clean it, eventually it will be too clogged to clean
