 Just as expected from a prime lens, it is very sharp, perhaps the best out of the sigma art series for mirror-less cameras. I certainly love this lens for sharpness.  $240 for such a lens?   Since the MFT sensors are half the size of a full frame sensors then the focal length increases 2 folds together with the aperture value. So this lens is a 120mm f/5.6 35mm equivalent. Because of this moderate focal length and rather wide aperture you get very nice circular bokeh

 Perhaps some people's hands sweat too much. It really depends on a person. You have to feel this for yourself. But for me the lens is not slippery

Great lens for a great price. What a bargain.

 I have already decided that I'm going to replace all my normal lenses with fixed focal lengths for the Art series. My mind was pretty much blown at the quality. I was actually really concerned because it is so much cheaper than other art lenses, and since the aperture wasn't too much of a concern for me, I went with the cheaper option. And I could not be happier

 It's basically like walking across ice with 2 more pieces of ice strapped to your feet. And just thinking about it scratches it. My lenses are stored at all times in a Nat Geo backpack in their own separate compartments and STILL this thing looks like my kid keeps it in his toybox. It doesn't affect the functionality of the lens, but it is SO annoying to have that nice shiny mirror-like surface

The stepper for the aperture diaphragm chatters loudly as it opens and closes rapidly whenever light is entering the lens until you hold down the shutter button. The lens focuses quickly and accurately, but manual focus seems a little less responsive than my Olympus lenses. All in all, it's still a great value in a prime lens of that focal length, and I can put up with a few quirks as long as the picture quality is good

A few quirks, but excellent optical performance.

 So why only 4 stars? I find that 60mm (120mm equivalent) is kind of an odd focal length. Too long for indoor portraits and for outdoor scenics, not really long enough for sports or wildlife. I knew this going in that in 40+ years doing photography, I have never used this range. Perhaps as I use the lens more I'll discover more uses

.sort of having a difficult time finding the best shots, so maybe it is a better portrait lens than an all-carry lens, as several people have already commented before me. I do love the color and contrast of Sigma e-mount lenses. More pop than Sony, but not as "colorful" as Canon's output in the same price ranges

No IS will cost you, but it is a really good lens on the A6300...

 Very good portrait lens. I highly recommend it. It's fairly low cost at $200 (new) and it's as sharp as $1000 Zeiss lenses. The F2

8 is fast enough for most situations and DOF is good. I think this lens delivers the best bang for your buck compared to all the primes I've looked at. Two reasons why I didn't give it 5 stars: 1) the internal AF motor moves around and makes the lens feels like something is broken internally (it's just the design). 2) I'm not a fan of the "focus by wire" but it seems to work well

low cost and super sharp

Great bokeh, the autofocus is essentially as good as the stock lense on my camera (NEX-3N). The only thing work nothing is with a NEX-3N, you cannot dictate what the lens focuses on (stock or this lens, unless I am missing something), so you have to refocus until get your desired shot. This should be too much of an issue but its work mentioning as the NEX-3N is not the most advanced shooter.
