So it sounds great, it's great quality, really reliable, tunes up super easy, and yeah, it was just awesome kit to play.

I have a 6 piece Sonor SQ2 kit, that is a variety of materials and thicknesses. It looks and sounds incredible, tunes up easy and holds its tuning very well.

The sound will be amazing, they are made with all high end materials and the Japanese built stuff is like most Japanese built stuff, excellent quality and damn near bulletproof. I want a Gretsch USA Custom more than almost anything other than a Sonor SQ2 set, but this quality drum set at what I am assuming will be a steal of a price would be 100% equal in quality if they are the Japanese made Masters. And getting it with all that honestly really nice Pearl hardware (Pearl makes excellent hardware.

You can't find a snare like this anywhere near that price point. I have to look closer at their drums as I am in the process of buying another kit. Your kits sounds great. I've looked at their prices and it is literally half of Pearl Masterworks, Tama Star and Sonor SQ2.

o tend to play other brands like to use one of these: look up a video of Danny Carey, Tomas Haake, or Nicko McBrain, and you'll likely see a Sonor SQ2 with (respectively) Pearl Eliminators, Tama Speed Cobras, or a DW 5000. I am totally with you on the matching pedals, so for my travel kit, I got the Pearl 900 series single-braced pack and a pair of Eliminator Solos. They match perfectly (the hi-hat stand uses an Eiminator Solo footboard) and Pearl is hard to beat when it comes to the quality of their hardware and service. There's a double-braced version as well if that's your cup of tea.
