 A7r3 uses a 43.4 megapixel backside illuminated full-frame sensor. Even by 2021 standards, this is still a great sensor. The amount of detail that you can capture with the sensor is still outstanding

The amount of detail that you can capture with the sensor is still outstanding. 43 megapixels is enough basically for any kind of publishing platform including fine art prints and 8k digital publishing. A7r3 also doesn't have a low pass filter, which is a logical choice in a camera that is supposed to capture a maximal amount of detail

 To sum up, I think that Sony A7r3 is one of the best aging digital cameras, and in 2021 it may be more relevant than ever. Making the A7r 3a with an upgraded display definitely makes sense in my opinion. First of all, it offers excellent output 43 megapixel steels from A7r3 are super detailed and they still exceed requirements of the vast majority of publishing platforms. The sensor is accompanied with a very good autofocus system and inbound image stabilization, which creates a capable all-round package

 It also performs very well in the real world, so I'm more than happy in this regard. The dynamic range is very good, as expected with modern full-frame Sony sensor. I've been shooting with A7r3 in very challenging light conditions and I was always able to extract enough information from the Ros without introducing noise. Again, it may not be quite as high as A7r3, but you will only be able to see the difference in the most extreme situations
