 So i like that picture, let me let me show you something: this is a 35 1.2 from sigma. This is my favorite lens on the sony system, but when you put this lens on the a7c and on the a7 3, it's going to be exactly the same. It'S a heavy lens, so one of the things about making something more compact is great

 I i just if i'm recommending a camera for someone unless this is a video centric thing and you need the the red button up top and you need the flip out rotating screen. This is going to be a nice camera, but two thousand dollars it or 1800 is a lot of money for what this is. If they came in at a price point - and they really wanted to kneecap the competition or kind of kneecap themselves, they could have put it down at 1 500 bucks. Maybe you will see a a rebate during the holidays to drop it down even further, and then at that point it becomes a very interesting proposition, because if there's a 500 difference or a 600 difference, then you're starting to see like you know what get in the Ecosystem, it's a start, it's full frame, it's 500 bucks, less it's a starting point and then, when you can upgrade to like an a7r iv in the future, then you know you'll have this as a nice backup, hey! Let me jump in here real quick and say: do you want to show the world that you shoot raw, that's right, the new store

 I love the quality, so i absolutely love the system that i personally rely on for my everyday shooting so understand that the negativity is just really pointing out the fact that i'm not really sure who this camera is for and at the end of this we will Decipher that a little more, let me jump in here because remember when i said that i shot this in raw plus jpeg, because i can't tweak the raw files in lightroom just yet. But i like to use my own presets in lightroom to give myself a great starting point. Well, what do i do here? Because all i have are the jpegs? Well guess what fro pack 1 and fro pack 2 actually work on jpegs, which means they work in lightroom mobile too, on your phone. So this is the jpeg straight out of camera and i'm going to run it through some of pro pack 2's presets, to show that you can actually do this with jpegs, starting with matte black high contrast and boom golden grahams cinnamon toast, crunch charmin, but check this Out apollo low contrast, looks incredible with one click and then ac dc looks pretty good, but then i'm like, ah it's too yellow, but it gives me a great starting point and then i get rid of the yellow and boom

 This is meant for the people that hear about full frame, maybe get sold on the fact that it's for vlogging, which we know it's not. I mean it could be, but and then they move up to something like this just love the isolation of the subject here. This is why i shoot it one two. Why i shoot at 1

SONY a7C pREVIEW (vs Sony a7 III) A WIN…But MOSTLY a FAIL!!!

Time to Bring Out the Big Guns (Again), if You Haven't Already...

 There is in-camera stabilization, but it’s the standard Sony five-axis system which, while good, is nothing to write home about. I still needed a gimbal to get super buttery shots, and I find that Sony’s in-camera stabilization is more effective in combating hand shake when taking photos at lower shutter speeds than for shooting smooth video. The better camera for video in the Alpha line is definitely Sony’s A7S III, which can shoot up to 4K 4:2:2 10-bit video at 120fps — but those specs will cost you $3,500, or nearly twice as much as the A7C.

 There are now hinged doors that cover a mic port, a headphone jack, a micro HDMI port, a USB-C port, and one SD card slot. These are easy to open and easy to close, but best of all, the articulating screen isn’t blocked when a microphone is plugged in. 

6 pancake zoom lens. It’s very compact and has a decent focal range, but it’s plasticky and that slow aperture really doesn’t show off this camera’s best self. For $500, though, it does make for a great entry-level lens into the E-mount world where lenses can get very large and very expensive. 

 It’s all of that paired with those specs and capabilities that makes this camera worth talking about.

. I had the most fun taking photos with this thing and this is where it really feels like a little ripper dudes.. So when you pair the flippy screen with the small size with that high ISO range with that super-fast shutter, she rips That's what I'm saying Like

 So that's like not a long-term issue.. Now battery life on this camera is also really good.

 You got 4K at 24 frames per second and 30 frames per second, but to get 120 frames per second or even just 60 frames per second you'll have to jump down to 1080.. There is in-camera stabilization, but it's the standard, Sony 5-axis system, while good, is nothing to write home about.

I just received this camera yesterday and ran a few heat-related tests. Here is a review based on my short time with it.  I was excited for the Sony A7C, not because of its (slightly) smaller size but because it is essentially the same as the fantastic A7III, just without the annoying 30-minute record limit. Since almost everything I do with video is a "long form" event, I ran a few stress tests, and here are my first results

 Battery life is amazing (that one battery recorded 3hrs!) and the AF is of course perfect. Ultimately I'd recommend the A7III over this camera unless the 30 minute record limit matters to you. The A7III simply has a superior body design for real-world use.

  I was excited for the Sony A7C, not because of its (slightly) smaller size but because it is essentially the same as the fantastic A7III, just without the annoying 30-minute record limit. Overheating Tests and Preliminary Review vs. A7III.

 That kind of sucks compared to other recent, albeit slightly more expensive full-frame cameras like the Canon R6 and Panasonic S5, both of which have 10-bit 4K video at up to 60 frames per second. To be fair though, the A7C has slightly better dynamic range, and you get all of Sony's S-Log shooting modes to max that out. Also, the addition of a flip-out display makes the A7C a far better vlogging camera, and the in-body stabilization works okay with video, though it could use a more aggressive electronic mode to better smooth out footsteps. Having both mic and headphone ports is also a strong plus, especially since the mic port doesn't block the display

 Sony easily beat rival full-frame cameras in low-light shooting before. However, nowadays there's not a lot of difference between the A7C, Canon R6, Nikon Z6 II, and Panasonic's S5. Still, it's impressive that a 3-year-old sensor can still hold its own. What's more, you get around 15 claimed stops of dynamic range, as much or more than rivals

If you'd rather shoot JPEGs, Sony's noise reduction and sharpening algorithms are tuned perfectly, still beating all other brands

Sony’s A7C is a mini-A7 III with better autofocus and worse handling.

 The results are mostly the same great 4k video (and bad 1080p video) that the A7III produces, with fast AF and excellent low light. In tests performed I found that this camera lasted just over 40 minutes recording in the sun and was unlimited in the shade. Ultimately, what you have here is a cool retro design that is less practical for use. It has a smaller body which can be handy but the effort it puts in isn't the best

I've owned better cameras

 But I would advise picking one up. Now, in case you're wondering, one battery will last you all day for photography, even some light video work. But if you do do both or more video, I would say bring at least one extra battery with you. I personally generally carry at least two, just in case
