 Here it is. This is what we came here for. The body of the camera is really similar to a lot of the other Sony Alpha lines. When we were shooting these product shots, I was getting a little confused as to which camera was which, so it does all kind of come down to the small details

 I also love having the touchscreen be touch to focus, and the autofocus on this thing is so freaking fast. One of the reasons that I had to upgrade my a7S II to the a7III is the focus on the a7II, and this is not new information to anyone who has had one, is a little bit slow. They also redid the strap holders, so a lot of times when people would be filming with these cameras, you would hear these things dangling around, but they made them really stiff so they don't actually move at all. I also love that this has a USB-C port, so you can use this for transferring data, but you can also use it to power the camera

I have to choose between a Sony S III or a Sony 7C which one do you recommend?

 I'm aware ISO640 has the most dynamic range but it wouldn't hurt to go above it right since this camera is widely said to be so 'clean' right? To balance things out I'll say the A7s3 IS good at highlight recovery - that hype about it at least is true. And of cos the autofocus is pretty good and reliable.

 What countless people who praise it don't seem to mention (and yet give something like the Canon R5 lotta pointless flac) is that the A7s3 is pretty bad and noisy from ISO 1000 - 10000! I mean really noisy as heck, much more than even some other fullframe cameras in said ISO range! Dead serious! Even the S5 has way cleaner & better video quality on ISO 3200 than the A7s3. I still recall how shocked I was seeing that & actually denied it until I decided to rent the A7s3 from a shop and saw the SAME results. People would then say, well just go above to the next base ISO which is over 10000. The problem then is the dynamic range is reduced and the camera employs DNR that makes the footage unacceptable - it looks fine on smartphones of cos since everything is small but view it on a big monitor and it's crappy

Decent but overrated by the internet

 So first off we already did a first impressions video on the Sony a7S III. We covered a lot of the menus, the new touchscreen capabilities, the new body, so we're not going to touch on that stuff tonight, but I also want to talk just very briefly about some of the photo capabilities of this camera. Now the Sony a7S III body handles beautifully and the sensor does give you advantages when it comes to incredibly good dynamic range as well as excellent high ISO performance in low-light situations, but although those are standout features, I don't think it's standout enough to warrant this being a photographic based camera. I really think if you're getting distills there's better options in the Sony lineup for you, but if you are a videographer and you want to get the occasional still, certainly the image quality here is beautiful, you get incredible autofocus, I think you'll enjoy it

 This is really as far as I would have pushed any of the Sony mirrorless cameras before. You had the option of using S-Log 3, but it was just too flat for the 8-bit profiles that they had in those. However, now we've got a 10-bit internal profile, so let's jump over to S-Log 3. So now with S-Log 3 we have tons of dynamic range in this and unlike some of the other cameras I haven't run into any issues where I'm seeing any kind of banding in the sky, anything like that, so if you need a lot of dynamic range and you're okay to spend a little bit of time grading, S-Log 3 is very usable on this

 A lot of the time you'll even have to dial in the tint a little bit to get the best results out of this camera. Hey everyone, this is your mid-episode reminder to subscribe. Sony a7S III Review: Best 'run and gun' camera available today?

From what I know, the SteadXP records gyroscope/accelerometer movements and then uses that to stabilize in post. Most phones nowadays have the same sensors and are probably capable of recording the movements too. 

Has anyone tried to do this, and if so, how did they do it?

 This camera should be the king of auto focus, but it was rather let down from my experience yesterday. We made a short film in a room depicting waking up in the morning scene , so the room was low light with a few dimming lighting.. the camera was struggle to focus

 The low light capability is fantastic, the 120 FPS 4k is awesome, picture quality is of course beautiful. But it's not a perfect camera without a few quirks. I don't meant to be critical but given the price point of the camera, those few quirks are rather unforgiven. Color science, it's better getting better but it is something about sony, skin tone doesn't look as naturally pleasing

I'm currently on the camcorder side of the camcorder vs DSLR/mirrorless debate and intend sticking with it. (I shoot for fun and to make YouTube videos).

Frequently, I'm doing videos at night time or in low light conditions and don't always have great lighting options with me.

Are there any camcorders that are known to have very good low light performance out of the box? My current Canon falls down a little in this department so I figured it would be worth having this as a feature requirement for my next piece of gear.

No 4k120hz over HDMI

After much research, I am still stumped on how to properly allocate my work budget of around $6,000, maybe more depending. 

I currently own an A7III which I have been using with multiple FE lenses, an audio setup, and a Zhuyin gimbal. I shoot both interviews and Bcam 120fps footage, and the A7III's bitrate is not cutting it. I also shoot stills. 

I'm a solo female shooter who is run and gunning it in hard environments (think dilapidated, low lit houses and construction sites), so flexibility of being on the move is important. 

A fellow coworker has a BMPCC 6K Pro set up, but after gearing it out, his set up is huge and I'm honestly quite not sure if I can handle the weight. (If I'm being a weakling, feel free to call me out lol) 

I would love advice on what seems best for what I do, as I'm quite stumped. I'm not sure if I should allocate the budget for $4k on the A7SIII alone to be able to use my lenses with or go with something else.

The beloved question.. What Camera to get? A7SIII, BMPCC 6K PRO, or Z-CAM E2-M4?

 The stabilization to me is poor in both. The high ISO noise at the higher end to me also seemed similar. It's like this camera has really high ISO, but when moving it becomes not as good as the S5 for seeing detail at faster motion in my side by side test, in what I see. One plus that I found over the S5, but for my needs is not as important since I pretty much shoot manual focus at infinity is the AF and viewfinder

 I was very excited to start using the camera with all the new and improved features. So why did this camera suck for me, the image stabilization is mediocre at best, in a side by side test I did with this and the Panasonic S5, the S5 was clearly better. The whole I frame thing meant having to buy little capacity storage cards for way more money instead of being able to use any of the dozens of SDXC cards I already own, again I'm using 8 cameras at a time so way more cost. Looking at the imagery the Panny S5's 10 bit L-Gop frames even in high motion looked as good if not better to me than this camera

So been shooting with over 20 Sony cameras in my lifetime. I do multicam shooting with up to 8 cameras at a time, and I shoot background plates for entertainment productions along with some doc work too. I was very excited to start using the camera with all the new and improved features. So why did this camera suck for me, the image stabilization is mediocre at best, in a side by side test I did with this and the Panasonic S5, the S5 was clearly better

 Why, stabilization, ability to shoot 10bit 4K on SDXC cards, cheaper with nice lens, standard remote jack for controlling multiple cameras, and happier with the imagery.

For me the Panasonic S5 is way better
