Cinema cameras owners: what led your decision to buy your first $5k+ camera

getting the FS700 was actually cheaper than one of the A series sonys and now the FS5 and i think FS7 (second hand) are very cheap, those 3 cameras use either the same or very similar sensors, you can also mount way more shit to your camera, wireless mic receiver, shogun mic, v mount batter, 7" monitors also after you've had built-in ND filters it's very hard to go back.

Best camera & lens w/ 4K and high frame-rate to film close-ups for around $1500-2500?

Find a clean Sony FS700 or FS5. I have several of both (not for sale, jst why i can recommend them). For example, let's say you're going inside and outside, maybe following along as the talent walks indoors and back outdoors again, or a chase scene, or just shooting outdoors with changing light (who isn't? ), then the FS5 has a every nice automagical ND.
