Will most any keycaps from Amazon fit the keyboard? I'm thinking of including hyperx pudding keycaps or some other kind with the keyboard.

I just bought a Steelseries Apex 7 TKL with red switches as a birthday gift for my little sister. 

Hi, My 2 years old Kingston HyperX Alloy FPS just died (Cherry MX Blue),

Now  I need new keyboard but I want it cheaper so I have two option Rapoo  V500 RGB or Redragon K558, I think both uses there own mechanical blue  switches.  
I'm leaning to Redragon because I'm used to have numpad on my keyboards.

But which one do you think is better overall?

I just ordered my first MK (Keychron K2 hot-swappable with Gateron Browns and white backlight) and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. I'm thinking about getting some chalk keycaps too and have a couple questions:
- Could you recommend a PBT Chalk keycaps set with 1U Ctrl and Alt keys for the right side? Looks like KBDFANS has a set but I'm not sure if that's decent quality based on reviews.
- I'm guessing the backlight wouldn't shine through those keys but would shine around instead? Any recommendations for PBT shine through caps?

So I have the redragon AMSA pro keyboard and while being on a budget decided to mod it a bit and make it better. Already did  add o rings to the keycaps and I'm in the process of lining the outemo blue optical switches. The biggest problem I have is that I can't add any insulation foam to the case as the PCB seems to be glued to the case or do the bandaid mod to the stabs. Anyone know any way to release the glue from the casing so I can finish the final internal mods?

I recently moved on from a Razer Keyboard and am now currently using a Drop CTRL with Kailh Speed Silver switches. 

I am a fan of the linear style of switch, but I find the actuation(operation?) point to be low of 1.1mm as I am used to what the Razer greens were of 1.9mm

Is there any linear switch that sounds like the speed silvers with a lower (higher?) actuation point thats closer to 1.8mm-2mm?

Stuck choosing between Ducky one 2, GMMK, iKBC MF87, or just go with a gamer-y Apex 7 or CM CK530. 

What's the right choice here? I'll be using it for gaming/coding/typing and portability isn't a concern.

hey dudes got a draconic red dragon k530w RGB 60% keyboard on July 20th straight from their website. I play a ton of video games, but I've already replaced the switch on my W,S, CNTRL keys. Is that normal? Is the keyboard faulty? I love this thing, I don't mind replacing the keys, I just dont wanna sink 35 bucks in switches for a 65 dollar keyboard haha

Are there keyboards with Anodized Keys or just the case? Is that even possible? If there are where can we buy them for a home office? I've been looking at WASD keyboards but it says nothing about the keys or weather it's a type 2 or type 3 anodize. Apologies if this is a noob question but I really have no idea

I've had a Das Keyboard with MX Browns for... probably 7 or 8 years now.  I love it, but... maybe its time for change.

Budget... let's say under $200 CAD for now...

I'd love to move away from USB and go with Bluetooth, but not 100% mandatory

I would prefer hot swappability - my soldering ability is fine, but I'm not sure if I want to sit at my desk with the soldering iron for the amount of time it would take and I'm not sure I have the patience to trace a bad solder or learn the hard way that a switch is bad.

Definitely has to be 75-80% 

Haven't decided on switches... need a tester, but I think my browns are too loud, even with O-rings.  Black Inks seem popular but I'm not well versed in all of the many options available.

I hear people lube their switches now? Is that something I want to spend the time on?  

Just to make this more fun, I have a 350mm 3d printer with enclosure and the ability to print ABS... Its an option so long as PCBs are available.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY question, get an answer

 The volume wheel and the play-pause button are just those, may they never be anything else. In a $130 keyboard (and I assume the same for $180) with 5 separate per-key parameters for RGB, including a PER KEY option that changes colors based on period of inactivity, I can't rebind the play-pause button?  I could write a whole paragraph on the macro system, but I'd lose your attention.  TL;DR It feels like this keyboard has so much it could be, and just doesn't deliver. The screen could be cool, but it is instead just one more piece of flair like your RGB scheme

 As a regular computer user, I'd really like to have a W key that works too.  The above is enough to put me off it and pack it away as a lost cause, since sending things back in the time of COVID is not easy. Lesson learned to not buy from SteelSeries.  But hey! Maybe you weren't put off by malfunctioning keys, or want to roll the dice and bet your product will be better than mine

 The keys are comfortable, but don't always work. There are baffling choices in what can and can't be rebound. Everything that would make this keyboard fantastic is instead a hurdle you must overcome to enjoy it.

Little to No Support, Constantly Malfunctioning

 I didn't really do much research on what to by, because I got this form a -50% sale and it seemed to have a lot of good reviews. However after my laptop keyboard, these keys just feel extremely sensitive and light.
